  • PANDEMIC DIARY - The government has said that the current tier system of restrictions that is in place due to the coronavirus pandemic, will now be in place into 2021, with mentions of February and Easter as possible cut-off points. The city of York currently sits in Tier 2. Amongst Tier 2 rules is that cafes, bars and restaurants can open, however alcohol can only be served with a substantial meal. At point of interview, York is just about to exit the Second Nationwide Lockdown and fall into these Tier 2 restrictions. The people in York talk about what they think of the news that the Tier system will last a long time.
