The hardest part is learning a route but you can only get lost so many times before you start recognising landmarks that you pass etc and after a few weeks on the same route youll know that route which will give you confidence in your ability to finish the drops which will allow you to relax on the route and sometimes youll get overspill eg all of one route a few other parcels enroute to your route or when youve finished your route etc and after a few months youll know about 3 or 4 routes and then youll gain the confidence to be able to float between routes and when you get to able to float across 3 or 4 routes you can pretty much cover any route they throw at you and be confident to do any route and then multidrop becomes easy but Its all about pace You have to be able to have the Multidrop pace etc Eg you need to know how many village drops you can do in an hour and how many town centre drops you can do in an hour and how many industrial estate drops you can do in an hour etc The best multidrop drivers dawdle because they are thinking a few drops ahead of the drop they are in etc But multidrop is a bit like playing darts etc in as much as the more 180s you get the longer you have to find the double etc Eg if you get through your town centre and industrial estate and private addresses fast it allows you tine to find the difficult farm in the middle of nowhere etc But where drivers days on multidrop go proper pearshaped is when they get stressed and keep saying to themselves ill never be able to do this many drops etc and keep looking at the time etc Forget the time and have the mindset that youll try your best to deliver all the deliveries and what you dont deliver goes back etc but give the depot an idea of how your day is going etc which gives them the choice to help you out while businesses are still open etc Dont try to be a superhero Eg dont try to do almost all the drops if you kbow you are struggling big time because depot will say you should have rung the depot as they probably had drivers going past you that could have taken sone drops off you etc And always make time for lunch because youll wear yourself out if you dont eat pproperly etc Hope this helps etc
This app is one of the best, I use it every day on my job as a package courier, it hasn't failed me yet, 7 routes and have always been given directions directly to the front door of my customers place of residence. Great app especially using the pro version.
Wow thanks so much I am a Visiting nurse in NYC and this was recommended, I could not figure it out and almost deleted the app until I found your explanation. Thanks so much!
How are you all getting on this week? I did a couple of jobs over the weekend but my van hasn’t moved so far this week. Lack of jobs on the CX at rock bottom prices. Worrying times
I haven't really gone back to work properly tbh, I'm trying to change my van now as I expected it to be quiet, and with the new lockdown it's even quieter than I expected it to be! I checked how many SWB and LWB jobs came up yesterday and it was about 60% of the jobs available pre-Christmas. I think January and February are the months to get other things done like DIY etc even in normal times. I'm hoping to pick up some more multi-drop work like I was doing pre-Christmas as I believe volumes and demand have gone up due to the new lockdown.
@@vanontherun2843 I expected it to be quiet but I hate being stuck at home, I always want to be out there. I checked the map on the CX website and zoomed right out, there was 3000 jobs nationally on Monday. 4000 yesterday, the only way is up (hopefully)
I am in the UK and am just trialling this app and find it defaulted to Google maps. This can be changed in settings if you prefer waze or 5 other apps mentioned there.
Really useful vlog. I’ve tried to stay away from multidrop but have recently got work from a company with 10-20 business drops. I have been using a free version of Route4Me which is good but only allows up to 10 drops. I need something that allows more so will probably have to take out a subscription to something. Does the app you use allow digital signatures, picture and document upload? Thanks in advance
Not 100% sure but I believe that if you sign in on a computer (maybe only in the pro version) that under the settings you can tick the relevant boxes for signature and multiple photos, then to send this request to your phone. Please don't quote me it's just a few short films I have seen on here.
Ye it's possible to do that as takings with the VAT to go on top, costs to come out of that to give pre tax profit, based on a 5 day week. If doing Monday to Saturday on a busy round it's possible to do more but it will likely burn you out so not a long term option for most people.
Circuit is really good. 19.99 p/month but if you hit cancel after you signed up for monthly fee they give you a 100£ offer for the whole year. Much better app.

Its all about pace
You have to be able to have the
Multidrop pace etc
Eg you need to know how many village drops you can do in an hour and how many town centre drops you can do in an hour and how many industrial estate drops you can do in an hour etc
The best multidrop drivers dawdle because they are thinking a few drops ahead of the drop they are in etc
But multidrop is a bit like playing darts etc in as much as the more 180s you get the longer you have to find the double etc
Eg if you get through your town centre and industrial estate and private addresses fast it allows you tine to find the difficult farm in the middle of nowhere etc
But where drivers days on multidrop go proper pearshaped is when they get stressed and keep saying to themselves ill never be able to do this many drops etc and keep looking at the time etc
Forget the time and have the mindset that youll try your best to deliver all the deliveries and what you dont deliver goes back etc but give the depot an idea of how your day is going etc which gives them the choice to help you out while businesses are still open etc
Dont try to be a superhero
Eg dont try to do almost all the drops if you kbow you are struggling big time because depot will say you should have rung the depot as they probably had drivers going past you that could have taken sone drops off you etc
And always make time for lunch because youll wear yourself out if you dont eat pproperly etc
Hope this helps etc

Really well explained. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Cheers.

how do you show the completion of one delivery and move on to the next?
Which navigation app do you recommend in 2024 mate

@ianwakeling4863 do you find this better than Google maps
was you parked up in Lowton (warrington ) today 2pm ..? Saw a van with driver that resembled you?
Not me gov!!! I haven't left the house today, trying to sort a new bigger van.

Hi Rich, no it's just a simple route planning app, as far as I know it can't do anything more than is shown in the video.

I hate when y'all take so long to get to the point
Been quoted earnings around £800 a week on multiple drop with my own van (gross earnings). Is that possible or too good to be true?

@UCk1_2hGQU07-0iH-c-DhLKQ cheers. It's a Doogee S something I'm using and yep it's still going strong, very happy with it for the price.
Can you type the name of the business instead of the address?
Does anyone know why my B1's to B9's don't work on Road warrior.
Cheers
Great informative vlog, thanks. Hope you had a good Christmas too! Are you still using the Blackview phone, how's it going?
