I spoke with you about that Tiger video where you showed how Tiger relaxes his left arm before taking his grip, how he uses his right arm to bring the club back and gains separation that way as well. I have been working with that and as I indicated to you, it has fixed a couple of swing flaws of mine, seemingly unrelated flaws, and helped a lot of aspects of my swing. Additionally, I have begun to adopt right side dominance. However, I would suggest that Tiger (as one example), isn't JUST right side dominant. I noticed something as I was doing these things myself. On initial takeaway, beginning with a pull from my right shoulder and using my right arm extension (as in your video), I am right side dominant during that section. Once I get to near the top (call it TDC, or top dead center), when I get near TDC and begin to transition to the downswing, I become left side dominant for a short period of time, until my arms have "dropped into the slot" (as they say), then another transition happens and I become right side dominant again, using the ball throwing type motion and finishing impact with the hands crossing over one another. The best way I seem to be able to characterize this is like a sloshing bucket of water. Sloshes to the right, then to the left and then to the right again, and finally sloshing back to the left at completion of the finish. At least this is how I am picturing the motion in my head (hard to explain exactly). The more I am learning about your right side dominance training the more I believe this is what is actually happening with swings like Tiger's. It's not purely a right side dominance, but it is actually a mixture of both left and right, sloshing back and forth at the appropriate positions. Does this make sense to you Chuck?

I wouldn’t necessarily agree with you on this.
