Thank you so much for this , it was so helpful. I just booked my accommodation here and the pictures on the website weren’t the best in terms of showing the space xx
omds, I can afford the classic studio at 36 week... lowkey regrettin choosing vita now lol i'mma have to constantly think of the advantages to make myself feel better now haha
No problem! So far the few people in the comments have supposedly booked ...but if you’re looking for the majority, try searching for the 2020/21 Miura group chat on Facebook, you may find it useful xx
Yes! Planning to book here for Sept 2020 as well. But i read many bad reviews about this place on Google. Many parents were saying that they were forced to pay for the last term even when the students didn't live there. I didn't understand this properly. Neahsa please explain!
adrian alvin adrian alvin yep it’s true ...I personally haven’t paid it yet there a decent amount of us holding off to see if they will give in but it’s looking tight 😴 The studios are nice in general but the way we was treated towards the end has been a serious problem
hi i know i’m a bit late but i was just wondering is getting a studio a good idea as a first year student? everyone says it’s harder to make friends but do ppl just not come out of their rooms because they’re in a studio? x (i’m hopefully going to ntu this sept) & i don’t want to be lonely but i also hate the thought of sharing a kitchen xx
It really depends. On move in day people usually go around knocking on their neighbours doors to see who they are etc ... that’s 1 opportunity to meet people. Usually there are common rooms where everyone would go to meet up to get to know each other further. However that opportunity isn’t really there right now due to the pandemic. But when it comes to studios it really depends on you to be the social one e.g start a conversation with the person that’s in the same lift as you 🤷🏽♀️. But depending on circumstances you’ll make friends on your course anyway. Word of advice if there is a group chat for the accom you choose join it because that’s where they tend to make plans with everyone. If there isn’t one 🤷🏽♀️ create one. X
@@user-zw2gs3ki4n thinking of booking this accommodation but I don't know anyone, is there any group chats? also which website did you use to book this accommodation :)
Honestly sis I'm planning to go to Nottingham for uni but I'm really debating about these private accommodation cah I feel like its gonna take all my maintenance low and I'm gonna be living on instant noodles am i being dramatic or nah lol
Ngl sis, it has to be a risk you’re willing to take. Ideally if you’re opting for the private accom route work and save all that money during summer and you’ll be good. Otherwise get a little part time job like I did and it won’t be that bad. You will definitely be able to enjoy yourself and eat good... but not all the time. Just calculate your maintenance loan and rent for that term and see if you’d be able to live off the remaining.... I will be happy to film a quick video on this if that would help.
@@itsneasha6276 yes please like I live in the bushes of Birmingham lool can't find no work at all and cause I'm new to this uni thing I don't how often you get paid your maintenance loan like if it's monthly and student accommodation you pay rent per term right
Okay dw I’ll aim to put the video out sometime next week. And I’ll see if my girl wants to be in it as she lived in student halls so you can get both perspectives. But yes rent is paid per term xx
Hey, the studios come with 2 small bins, toilet brush a lamp for the desk, microwave and tv. You’ll have to buy everything else ...there are also shared kitchens on 2 floors as well as the kitchenette. Hope that helps x
Hey I was curious as to know what uni accom recommended for ntu is diverse, I don’t wanna b a minority at a certain accom. Is nova diverse? Also I don’t want a studio cos I wanna get to meet more ppl rather than closing myself off in my room
Can’t speak on liveliness for freshers as we’re currently in a pandemic but yes it is diverse with black people ... if you want to have fun it’s up to you to make it happen
I would say the ones associated with the uni itself you can check the website but the ones I know of is Byron, Gill street north, Blenheim (this is for the city campus) it may or may not be too late to book now because it tends to get full quickly if not try Archer house, glasshouse (private accom) or check mega close agency
@@itsneasha6276 thank you so muchh cus i lived study inn where wall is thick but i heard that wAll of victoria house is thin. You can tell if someone takes the lift because you can hear all the sounds. Miura isnt that bad, is it?

Ohh okay I can only speak for the city campus. But it should be fine you just have to be social the first few weeks. I’m studying property development and planning xx

Hi, is there a washing machine in the room or do you have to go to a separate laundry room? If so, do you have to pay? X
Hey, there is a separate laundry room they have a washing machine and dryer. Prices are between £3.20 and £3.80 for each wash and dry.

If you get stuck with a noisy neighbour then it’s inevitable, it just depends on the neighbour but typically no from my experience.
