As a young man, I read your book "Knowing God" when I was 21 years old. That has made all the difference in my life. Thank you. Now you would be smiling as to how little we know God. -(India).
I am an atheist, but love listening to him speak. His voice is so calming. And what he says about reading, generally, I fully agree with.
I still praise the Lord for JI Packer and his ministry especially his books. Only God knows how timely his writings have been to me. A writer that "gets me" if such a thing ever existed. He saved me alot of mental distress and perplexities with his timely wisdom. I can't wait to give him a big hug in heaven when we meet.
I wept in joy at the news that J.I. Packer had gone Home on July 17, 2020. His influence on my life with God on this journey has been all God’s Grace. I will miss you my teacher and so look forward to Glorifying our Triune God with you in His Kingdom. Rest Well my friend.
finally picked out Knowing GOD off my bookshelf last night and began reading, only to learn of Mr.Packer's death in the morning. A brilliant writer.
Simply amazed with God working in man's life.😇
I’m so thankful that I got to know this dear and godly man in the late 70’s when my husband & I were students at Trinity Theological College in Bristol. He was Vice Principal with Alec Motyer was Principal, we were blessed indeed.
So thankful for this humble man's service to our Lord!
He compromised on the gospel and sided with Rome!!
Goodbye sweet professor Packer. You will be missed. Thank you for your faithful service to the Kingdom! #TillWeMeetAgain
Thank you crossway♥️
What a soldier for the Kingdom and what a gift the Lord gave through this ministry. 🙏🏻
Thank you, Crossway for this video. I watched it today and perhaps almost a year after J. I. Packer's home-going. I thank God for raising men like Packer to inspire and encourage His Church. I agree with Packer, in that "truth is truth," and no matter how long ago a good book was written, if it is truth it is still worth reading even after decades and centuries. I have a feeling that as he re-read Pilgrim's Progress annually, I will read "Knowing God" annually as well.
Knowing God changed my perspective about the Trinity.
Thank you packer, keep resting!
Rest In His presence Mr. Packer. Thank you for your humble service on this earth.
Thank you J I Packer for your heart for Jesus.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I remember praying to God for clarity of his word and who he is and he lead me to Knowing God, changed my life and I am very grateful. Rest in Heaven Dr. J.I Packer
Very inspirational amen
what a life of conviction!! watching this after a few days of Packer's passing is really encouraging. I Praise the Lord for his life, a life time example for me and others to come!
Truly remarkable servant of God. Thank you Dr J. I Packer
Rest in Christ reverend!
Shalom!
Thank You Sir.
~His peacefulness is amazing to watch and to listen to his understanding of being a Christian.
Thank you for your legacy
Courteous in Controversy but never Compromising.
Oh Lord Help us in this generation to know how to exercise a Christ-like attitude-love, amid all ongoing controversy in the Church.
May God grant all Christians the willingness to emulate such a saint - 'Knowing God' is a soul changing book for expounding the Biblical Truths. God bless you, JIP.
Sometimes in life we have the honor of encountering people for whom the word saint can readily be applied. It would appear J.I. Packer was one of these, a model Christian life in many ways.
Wonderful !!!!
You will be blessed Indeed, Amen
A blessed man

Now he is truly Knowing God in a glorified body separate from sin for all eternity 🙏🏼

JI Packer, isn't this the guy who opposed RC Sproul & John MacArthur claiming that Catholicism had a saving Gospel? ECT was the document I believe.
Such error is the natural product of being an Anglican, half Catholic. Are you questioning his salvation here? He was by no means perfect in his decisions, but it is difficult to read his work and not come to the conclusion that he knew God.
@@MaD-hp9hq was J.I. Packer questioning the Reformation? For 400 years Protestants and Catholics understood and agreed they had a different Gospel. Packer can't have it both ways.
@@JOSDAV88 go back and read how you began this comment and tell me who's being judgemental. smh
@@doctrinalwatchdog6268 Brother, please forgive me.
The critique I had for you was me confusing you with another account on youtube that is pretty mean-spirited about a lot of genuine, reformed, lovers of Christ who preach his word.
I love Packer, but your critique was actually fair, seeing that he did lock arms with Catholic men I believe in a compromising way.
Deleting my comment, as it clearly wasn’t meant to go to you.
J. I. Packer is an angel of light a ecumenical compromiser

He signed a doctrinal document with Rome it seems unfortunately.
