- Welcome to my RUclips channel! This is my very first video, and I'm excited to take you all along with me on my trucking journey. Join me as I hit the open road and explore new places, meet new people, and face the challenges that come with life on the highway.
As a truck driver, I have a unique perspective on the world around us, and I want to share that with all of you. From the beauty of our natural landscapes to the hustle and bustle of big cities, I'll be documenting everything I see and experience on the road.

I just started with them as well. My first load was on a weekend to. Going from Rockford IL to LA. I made just over $1100. My second load went from LA to Pennsylvania then I am picking up a load going back to Salt Lake City if I am doing the math right this check is going to be right around 4g take home. I have a friend who told me to set ground rules with your dispatcher on what is the smallest amount you will take. And look at job boards to see what part of the country is paying. I did that and so far it seems to be paying off. I also lucked out with a decent dispatcher

I had a company truck with a Max Force engine. It blew at 97000 miles. Didn't even out last the steer tires.
Yeah I buy and sell trucks from the auction and the finance company won't even touch them.
This is true and I just left them. I worked for them for 9 months frl.. Ian make over 700 dollars outta 9 months. I just needed a truck for my company.
In 2010 I had a pro star with a maxforrce running GE from Laredo / San antoon to Milwaukee with a stack of pu's and back. This engine did not give me any problems in almost a full year. I've bin doing this for almost 20 years and if luck is not on ur side it don't matter what u drive.... Good luck!!

I’ll stay where I’m at just to be safe. I only got 3 months exp. I got a dedicated route making 1300 gross a week going back n fourth to Laredo driving 2600 miles a week. .50cpm
Wherever you're happy at, you should definitely stay at. Get some experience and then decide where you want your trucking ventures to take you. You being safe out there is more important than where you're at. Keep 18 wheels on the ground driver !!!!!

I've been out here riding these roads since 1996 that is a few more than 3 months. I have been a company driver I've done lease purchase and I have also been a straight owner operator with multiple trucks. Super ego lies and they steal money off the top of the loads that is a fact. They have also got evidence of them changing people's logs so they can run as much as they want. If you got your own authority and had trucks and got caught doing that they wouldn't only shit you down but you would go to prison on felony charges.So if you talk to people there that are making 3000.00 or more a week they are having to run 5000 to 6000 miles a week. The reason they tell y'all rates are bad is because they are blackballed
from the good paying freight brokers and that sir is a fact. They have a bad record of making fraudulent freight claims that sir is also a fact. They are being sued go look up the lawsuit and follow along. I guess my point is do some research before you step in shit trying to talk about folks like they don't have any experience and are stupid. Now my request is you follow along and see how long it takes for this guy to stop posting because facts are if he has a wife and kids at home that he is responsible for he will be broke and they will be homeless if he stays at super ego. That's another FACT.

800 driving a truck is a joke . I respectfully hope you can survive. This downturn in freight and rates is rough. Teamed up with the still high cost of fuel absolutely breaks the bank . Then the truck breaks down and those costs arrive .
With the company you partner with is skimming off the top of already low rates it makes it worse.

That was a load that picked up on Saturday and delivered Monday. With some expenses included and some drivers complaints is $27 check gives me no room to complaint just yet.

This market will not support that payment you’ll averaged what a company driver will make and have all the risks. That company prays on drivers that are not good with their money it’s like putting the buggy before the horse

Not all 3000 people make youtube videos. And they don't maintain the same 3000 drivers, they recycle them through
Even more to my point. So 3000 plus driver's vs the amount of complaints. I'd assume there are hundreds if not thousands of driver's that have figured out how to make it work, trust me...not saying it easy. TFTC
@Trucking with HoodChef most drivers don't complain on RUclips, they just leave. I didn't make your point, you're not understanding mine. There are some companies out there that just treat ther drivers and only care about the money. You can make it there, but like you said, it won't be easy.

I did the exact same shit as you did. Researched relentlessly, said to myself "these people talking shit are probably new and/lazy" went over there and found out for myself. They take SOOOOOO much off of the top of the load, your ass will be working for fuel. Almost lost my car, my relationship, stressed out to the max.
The reason you don't see "that many" negative videos is because their legal team sends cease and desist orders, threatening to sue you if you don't take it down.
So you'll see for yourself bro. LoL just give it time. Do me a favor tho? Call the brokers directly and see how much the load is really paying.
Good info Doc. I actually don't care about what the load originally paid. As long as I accept the price I'm comfortable with.
@Pimp crazy thing is, the bad bashing I see is from people that are averaging 2-2500 miles a week. Very low for a lease-op. We need to be at 3-4000 loaded miles a week.
@Pimp oh I did but that doesn't mean it's ok for stupid ego to steal from from drivers. Nor is it ok for mfrs on here posting edited settlements to get a referral bonus only for drivers to go there and fail.
The good news is I pull tanker now, home every weekend, $90k annually

I was still shocked as other reviews were different.
The max force engine,, And the packard engine,, There are only good engines when the truck is turned up to 75 miles an hour where the E. G. R burns correctly if anything under that and you're idling the truck you're gonna run into problems
I've been driving wide open Volvos for 7 years at the same company. Current, is 2021 I drove off the lot. No engine problems. The first Volvo had a rebuild and it was not a full rebuild, at 1 million miles. But it does help, my idling has always been low, as the owner puts APUs on all his trucks day one of acquisition. Or soon as he can get them into Thermo King to install in Springfield, IL.
They sent me a settlement statement for $956 they never paid it to me for two weeks straight I’m trying to give this company a chance but I’m seriously considering leaving them

And as soon as the federal government and FMCSA shut superego down for resetting log books because they have an operation checking bills logs IRS receipts mileage odometer readings and fuel receipts to match logbooks now. It is not worth it to my family

I know this comment is 1yr later but are ya still running over there, u also lost me about loading during weekend and delivered monday so u didnt run the remainder of the week i figure delivery on monday would've been delivered for the beginning of work week right then ya have rest of the week to add revenue to it, i was gonna call them and see bout starting there and show up there like that so my 1st load i book can be at beginning start of the week and have my 1st check since they hold back and first week be a full check

What are the trucks governed at
I was contemplating coming over there but I know that they have a class action lawsuit against them for taking money off the top of loads before they tell you what it's paying. Tell everybody about that &650 truck payment and the $250 cargo payment plus fuel. You have to pay almost $1200 in fees so no everybody is not lying about them.
Fees definitely high. Yes I heard about the class action suit as well. That slice off the top is heavy, I agree.

Was your paycheck after full costs as well getting back to Florida? Im taking a load down to riviera beach and calculating everything I’m not sure if my calculations are correct after all of my deductions and costs

I was there for a yr told them let me get my payoff for truck and they bullshit me so I had there truck impound at a tow company

Yep and they held my pay why I was out for surgery and I didn't owe them nothing was current on everything so I told them have my money in my acct or give me a payoff or they have 24hrs to get there shit off my property they thought I was playing with them and had that MF impounded now they can use that pay they held and stole and that 2500 to go towards that impound fee

@Timothy Woody I personally am doing OK but strategy is a must over here. I think I was preaching that in one of my videos. Most people are failing over here because they are coming with a company driver mindset. If they allowed driver mentorship I think it could be better.

Man they all cap. Skeeming on rates bad equipment dispatch doesn't respect your time or money and can't conduct business properly. You'll cap out at 5k a week and they play games once you get close to making over 5k. BS 1k loads through rough terrain...truck won't make it to the end of the lease. All CAP

Leave the company my guy they double broker the loads … when the broker call you ask them what the load actually pays they may tell you the actual rate of super ego didn’t already tell them not to… i know from a personal experience . Tbh now is not the time to be a new op the market is trash and you won’t make money

Ding 10months ago and rates are still low for this company. That's almost a year the rates being low. You have NEW AND RECENT reviews and comments on indeed, etc. Saying the pay isn't good either way I do flatbed and know especially during winter the rates are trash. So you're doing dry van around this time of the video and its NO REASON for dry van to have low rates and loads. I've done dry van to know, so idk but I'll rather stick with the bad company I am with instead of jumping to another company that sounds worst based of what i have read and seen. Its really pick your poison out here. The good thing i could switch back to company no problem. Ego doesn't have a company side so if you want to leave you leave the same way you came.
Great comment and you are 100% right. Rates are still bad, however I think they are a bit better than a year ago. Yes, around the time of the video I was doing dry van but I now rent a refer trailer from them and those rates are far different. Refer rates are more stable with a peak of rates in "watermelon season".
Trucking needs a strategy and leasing or owner op is not for everyone. Hence the reason I've never, not 1 time ever did a recruiting video. I appreciate your comment and be safe out there.

You have people that are going to come regardless so maybe they can try and apply some strategies to help themselves a little more. Make sense?

They dispatch you. They "offer" you a price for available loads. It's up to you to accept/decline the offer. Hopefully I answered for you.

If you go to super ego you have to smarten up on trucks I’ll help paccar engines stay away from them they are junk yes you get fuel mileage but they are complete junk it has to be Detroit or cummings that’s it nothing else if you buy a max force your not smart at all

Trucking companys bullshit so well .. whenbit sounds rite ... Its shady. I used to make 25 cents a mile in the late 80s..26 cents for a cab over ... Otr. I would pay there tolls a few tires etc. Bringing home 400 or less at the end of the week. It sucked.

In Mexico they love those maxxforces .. very reliable engines .. BUT !!! when they make those trucks for Mexico use they have ZERO EMISSIONS .. no egr .. no dpf .. and every single issue you hear with maxxforce here in the United States is not engine related .. only emission related … so .. there you go
