- Loving this approach to guessing who characters from genshin impact are from the music alone. Assuming I haven't met them in game. Which in the case Eula! I haven't. Let's take a listen.

Eula is elegance and grace. Eula is nobility and magnificence. Remembers me of one of my favorite Jay Chou pieces "Rosemary". Mihoyo is conducting a crime for not bringing her banner back, especially that they decided to put Mika in the 2nd half of this version.

For the love of Eula, I spent close to 3 hours perfecting her song in the Windblume Festival on keyboard. Totally worth it.
Same. Hearing this song so casually now feels oddly satisfying.
I loved that part of the event, even if it was hard.
This Eula piece has three leitmotifs:
-Photon of Fluctuation (what you call the "battle theme", which every region of the game has at least one variation on)
-Eula's theme
-A variation on the main theme at the end

Currently I have finished the whole Mondstadt soundtrack and both Inazuma soundtracks, Liyue only has one track left to analyze and I have to work on Sumeru, The Chasm, Dragonspine, the character themes and the two summer event soundtracks.

Eula is the epitome of doing what is good, not only when it's easy but even when it's extremely difficult. She is awkward but never hesitates to do what is right. Absolutely love her.
She was much more laid back and easygoing in the recent Windblume Festival event. It was also fun finding out that she, Amber, and Collei are all friends. It was also cute watching Collei, Sucrose, and Noelle interact. Unfortunately not all of the characters have themes or trailers.
I think it might be a fun exercise to compare _Honkai_ characters to their expies in _Genshin_ , and since characters in _HI3_ have multiple battlesuits, they also have multiple themes, since they don't all come out at the same time -- although two of Yae Sakura's battlesuits _did_ come out at the same time. There's an interesting contrast between Raiden Mei's journey and Raiden Ei's attempt to attain Eternity, for example, to the point where Mei, as Herrscher of Origin, acts like a defrosted, compassionate Raiden Shogun.

Maybe Eula’s song borrows from the Mondstadt theme because of her love for Mondstadt and her determination to do good by them dispite her family’s role in the countries history
You doing those mini poses explaining "class" was such a cute thing and made me chuckle.
The thing that sold me with Eula is how her fighting style has her elegantly dance with her claymore

I really like these elegant type characters, and not just in Genshin either

Such a jam~ and you were spot on with the rebellious nature, she is the heir of a line of Infamous Nobility who once ruled over Monstadt in tyranny and she wants nothing more then to be completely disconnected from them and has done so by joining the Knights Favonius and forging her own path!
Should definitely make her story quest one of your next ^-^

Marco said "What?" at the start of the demo made me chuckle after he gave the type of analysis he did from the ost alone...it was like he thought..."so it WAS about dancing"
It's crazy how every time you're so spot on about the characters identify or even essence you are, but I guess it also speaks volumes about how meticulously finetuned the music is for every character. I'm very impressed
The "Mondstad battle theme" you heard is a leitmotiv from Photon of Fluctuation and it's a characteristic part of the older characters' songs!
Eula is End User License Agreement
Her basic attack combo animations are a choreographed set of dance steps she does with her claymore. So cool, and a really cool way to introduce the lore of the character into their actual gameplay
She seems very confident and relaxed, if her movements show anything, but she is a firecracker of a personality from that short trailer and the music

It’s been over a year since her banner reran back in 2.3 along Albedo’s (mind you that also was the 1st patch that they introduced double banners) and I want her rerun too, I wanna try to get some cons for my Physical DPS QUEEN
Flickering Candlelight is the name of her Character Demo MV.
Dance of Aphros is the name of her Character Themesong.
This is the moment I realised that Eula/Amber paring start directly in Eula's demo
I beg that he does Itto’s theme next, it’s pretty different from the other character themes

You brought up some interesting points. Flamenco as a genre of music came across as both sensual passion and precision in execution, and those characteristics definitely apply to Eula. The style also brings across a history of embracing arts, which Eula as a Mondstadt aristocrat also embodied. It's interesting, this language of music.
Ah yes, Eula. The embodiment of aristocratic elegance and style. Her combat moves resemble dance. Not entirely sure why flamenco was chosen for her theme, since "Lawrence" doesn't sound like a very Spanish surname. One little correction though. Albedo's theme has a small fragment of Klee's theme at the end, so Eula's theme isn't the only or even the first to have parts of other themes included. The boss music for the Fatui harbingers the players had to fight so far share a leitmotif as well.
Speaking of characters whose fight moves are dance-like - the upcoming Honkai Impact 3rd valkyrie Susannah has a whole rhythm game as her ultimate where she dances and hits her tambourine to the beat of the music.
I like her trailer the best. Interesting dance moves weilding a claymore.
The cinematography really depicts Eula's character and motive.
Especially the scene where she fixes her hair while standing on a bridge facing the Hilichurl assault just outside of it. (Represents the noble that defense the civilization from savages) In the story, NPCs sees her as a pompous and indifferent Noble, but Eula is a sweetheart, especially shows when she is drunk.
*windblume festival shows she is more relaxed, made friends, and want to spend time with them.

Ooooo we getting into best girls music? Her theme slaps super hard. Her movements as she attacks are very fluid despite being a great sword wielded and I think that really comes off in her theme.
You mentioned rebellious and literally at 3:48 the description of the Glacial Seal says "... Now recast by a rebellious heir into the sword of their nemesis." Once again, you nailed it. Eula is an amazing character. Now, I would really love to see you do Yelan's theme. You'd have a field day with it.

If you're wondering Marco Eula is a noble from one of the 3 main noble clans in mond . the Lawrence clan, and the clan took over Mondstadt few hundred years ago and ruled it in tyranny till Venti and Vanessa (founder of Knights of favonious) gave them the finger , still now people hate the Lawrence clan and hate Eula cuz of it , and she also hates her family cuz they're greedy . ( the other clans are Gunnhildr aka Jean , and Rangvindr aka Diluc)
Eula is someone who's been missing from the game for 400+ days. That's her identity XD.
Jokes aside, I actually like her teaser music more than the demo. The visuals are incredible on the teaser as well.
also her cute sneeze at the end as she correctly deduces that Jean Gunnhildr was talking about her, in an all positive way, and how Eula thus swears vengeance upon her

For an ice magic user, she's got an energetic music style.
Really nice, Eula's first banner will be released soon I suppose. And I suggest you should do Ayato's theme song next, names 'Serene and Fathomless', and maybe 'Letter from Ajax' of Tartaglia too!

Mika's too if he hasn't yet, it reminds me so much of Celtic dance music and it surprised me a little because it was for a Mondstadt character since Mond is based so much on Germany
Get through the whole "vengeance" thing, Eula is sweet, yet strong despite her ancestry. Or as a certain anime said in an over the top manner, ELEGANT.
She's one of my favorite characters next to Yoimiya and I'm still waiting for that banner, Hoyo.

I remember when Eula's back story caused a lot of uproar on twitter
ah yes, cryo mommy. such a playful elegant character. who would've thought she'd be one of the strongest characters in the whole game, and of course, another beautiful, spot on analysis man. you never miss
I love how the melody completely changes once amber, her first friend (maybe more), implying that Eula has a warmer side that she shows only to those she cares about.
Especially since one of her talents is called the "spindrift returns to the sea" meaning even Eula's icy heart longs to be as fluid and warm as water.
I really love the Violin version their did for the first anniversary concert. It adds even more grace and a touch of sadness to the song which i think also fits with Eula's back story.
Once again mans does it. Never fails to identify a character based off their music. This character demo is sick tho, cant wait for her to come out.

It might be a coincidence that you post this, but Genshin Community has been asking "Who's Eula?" as well because she's hasn't have a gacha banner in 480++ days (Could be higher to 500+ days with the looks of how things going).

As someone who is hyped to see future "guessing who from music" for Genshin characters I'd like to suggest reading the "story" section on a character's in game menu (or in the lore section on Genshin's wiki for chars you haven't unlocked) for an more clear read on the characters, the info in there isn't spoilery, but actually complements the story by providing details you won't be able to see in game, such as how a character got their vision or details on their background that explain their position. You will probably figure out things a great portion of the player base doesn't even know (cause too many chars they like and too little time to read).

Spot on. Eula is seen as a rebel by her lineage because of opposing views. The Lawrence clan is an aristocratic (and just an oppressive) family but Eula is an exception.

Hope this info isn't too much. But Eula is the Captain of the scouts team of the knights of Favonious. She is highly skilled, and like all other Knights , her bladework if of the Knights of Favonious. However with a twist. She includes movements from the "Dance of Sacrifice Act 3 Flickering Candle light" . E believe it is called Edel. A style unique to her due to how strong and elegant it presents in battle.
She comes from the Lawrence clan, but even among the clan she is a rare breed. Not many heirs of the clan were able to complete de trials of the Glacial Symbol (crest of the Lawrence family) and Eula did no at a young age with flying colours.
She is shunt by her family for being a knight of Favonious (huge lore dump here), and shunt by the populace for being a Lawrence.
However , I can say she is one of , if not the most fierce defender of Freedom for the people of Monstadt. Whatever happens, the Spindrift Knight always protects her home and the freedom of the people in it.

Most don't realize that the reason Eula's banner is so rare is because they only release her when miHoYo updates their End User License Agreement (EULA)
The Genshin theme is closely tied closely to Mondstadt, perhaps because it is simply the first region in the game, but possibly because Venti has close connections to bigger powers at play in Teyvat.
Also, I’d love to see you react to Itto’s theme.

most of the older character demos from before inazuma use the melody that you mentioned was from the mondstat battle theme, and im pretty sure the same melody is actually in at least 1 battle theme in every region

I've binged all your genshin videos its crazy to think how much you hear just from a characters themes. I wonder at all if you'd do Yae Miko I think she has an interesting theme that isn't clear cut from what I hear but I would be interested to see your take on the theme.

The leitmotif you are hearing is from the song "Photon of Fluctuation". While it isn't the main theme that plays on the title screen of Genshin Impact, for all intents and purposes, it is THE main theme of Genshin Impact. It was the original song the game was shown off with on its world premiere and is featured someway, somehow in almost every character theme, be it a straight up drop as a the main melody, a countermelody, or chord progression in character demos.
The flickering candlelight is my favorite so far the song is soooo good
The "Monsdtad battle theme" u hear in the beggining of Eula's theme is actually the Genshin Leimotiv for battle music.
U can hear that jingle in MANY Battle themes of different regions.
