As a die hard Viking supporter l liked Kirk Cousins... but last year was the year he was going to take us deep in the payoffs but he got injured and his injury will have an affect on his mobility... so now I would prefer Darnold who is younger and can both throw and run! And will be a good QB1 with a potential to be more but is a great QB2 as presidentzippy5506 points out. I am encouraged!

After watching Geno in 2022 I learn to not label a QB as terrible until he has a chance to play with a team with good coaches and weapons. Darnold has that now.
Even though he had a rough 2021 season he really showed strides this past half of the season and he along with DJ Moore with that offense and defense are special. I hope they keep him around a couple more seasons with Steve Wilkes.

Darnold will get one more year. He had one bad game in the ones he played. All others were winnable attempts. I’m happy we got 7 wins instead of 5 and I’m happy bc of the improvement I seen this year.

I'm impressed with highlights; everyone is wondering which QB the Vikes will draft, but after watching Darnold's highlights, I think he's the Viking quarterback for as long as he can make plays like this. He has great mobility, great under pressure and throws deep and also into tight coverage. I'm impressed and hope he enjoys working with the team here and the great talent the Vikings have. I think he is going to do very well if he works hard at all aspects- he can make the Vikings the Conference Champs this year and dare I say, take them to the Super Bowl. This team is coming together nicely.

I never really seen him play until now. And man does he have an arm, he can really whip that ball out! and also run pretty quick! Hopefully he’ll do good for us! You’ll never know sometimes it takes guys longer to get things going.

DJ Moore would be very upset if they don't resign him from this video. Darnold has some Mahome traits with a high ceiling, but man his low floor is pretty bad too. He has hero ball tenancy when his team isn't very good or getting depressed; just tossing it out there. Saw this at USC when he was behind he started to chuck it, but USC WRs were usually bigger than the other DB in college. But with a good OL and some coaching, he might be a bargain free-agent signing. He is trusting his OL better and being more patient with the scheme developing more, less hero-ball. Maybe he needs some elbow pads, when hit he fumbles too much, or just learn to give up and slide earlier. No need to hero ball every play. Rhule got him hurt playing with 3rd stringers in a preseason.

QB style points don't win games, QB efficiency does., I'll take an efficient yet boring QB like Jimmy who wins games over an exciting flashy QB like Darnold who loses games. I do agree that Darnold will do well surrounded with more talent and a great play caller in Kyle. Jimmy turned this team around in 17 and we haven't won without him until Purdy came along, He did a damn good job for us and 49ers fans should be grateful for him instead of the never ending whining about his lack of a deep ball and not being a mobile QB.

He has hero ball tenancy when his team isn't very good or getting depressed; just tossing it out there. Saw this at USC when he was behind he started to chuck it, but USC WRs were usually bigger than the other DB in college. But with a good OL and some coaching, he might be a bargain free-agent signing. He is trusting his OL better and being more patient with the scheme developing more, less hero-ball. Maybe he needs some elbow pads, when hit he fumbles too much, or just learn to give up and slide earlier. No need to hero ball every play. Rhule got him hurt playing with 3rd stringers in a preseason.

I got in an agreement on Facebook for saying I’d rather have Darnold over Jimmy G. Because he is way more mobility than Jimmy G. Those last 2 plays explains exactly what I’m talking about. Jimmy G ain’t doing none of that. 😂😂
If Darnold can learn an execute Shanahan's play book, I'd agree.
QB style points don't win games, QB efficiency does., I'll take an efficient yet boring QB like Jimmy who wins games over an exciting flashy QB like Darnold who loses games. I do agree that Darnold will do well surrounded with more talent and a great play caller in Kyle. Jimmy turned this team around in 17 and we haven't won without him until Purdy came along, He did a damn good job for us and 49ers fans should be grateful for him instead of the never ending whining about his lack of a deep ball and not being a mobile QB.
