A few weeks ago I added some orbit layers, etc. Even though I constantly delete them, the keep reappearing. Is there something I can do to preserve my last settings?
Thank you for your message. There is really no way to save your last search preferences in NASA Worldview that I know of, but you can turn off the orbit track layers by clicking on the eye icon to the left of the imagery layer in the add layers panel on the left. Also, what you could do to replicate your last search is copy the link from that search and save it somewhere on your machine. You can do this by clicking on the square icon with the arrow facing to the right in the upper right corner of the NASA Worldview application. By using that link or shortened link, you can go back to the same setup/image that you selected previously. Let me know if this helps.
@@NASAEarthdata Yes, that helps, thanks very much. I also installed the app. Is there an advantage to using the app, and is there also a way to save the setting if you use the app and close it? Thanks for the reply!
Can this map zoom in close enough to see forest trails? Im keen to plan my running routes in a forest that was bady damaged by a storm. The trees in many places have been cleared and all the maps i have are out of date...so they show how the forest looked prior to the storm. My dream scenario is to have a more recent view of this UK forest and be able to use this map either directly, by plotting routes within it (not sure if thats posdible on this?) or compare it with my Ordance Survey map and use that to plot my routes (the tool i currenly use). Any help appreciated. Thanks.
@@GRumpyonekinobi all i get now is a black screen print of the outline of earth. It stopped on July 19, thanks but let me ask are you seeing anything on it
@@sseruwoozarobert791 You can use the Data tab in NASA Worldview to download the actual data. However, for example, if you just wanted to see Sea Surface Temperature and get the “data value” of the temperature of the ocean at certain points, you can hover over the map and look at the legend in the Layer List. I hope this helps.
Hi there, thank you for reaching out. NASA’s Land Processes (LP) DAAC has multiple evapotranspiration data products. Please contact LP DAAC User Services at LPDAAC@usgs.gov for more information or post a question on the Earthdata Forum at: forum.earthdata.nasa.gov/.
Hi there, you can add/turn base layers back on by clicking on the "eye" icon next to any layer. To learn more about any particular layer, click on the "i" icon for information.
Is this capable of displaying weather satellite imagery from 1982, such as GOES-3? Looking for images of the Los Angeles weather from that year.
