    Excellent. It will be very useful for first semester students and beginners

    Why it takes so much for the imagery to appear on the site from sattelites *Terra, Aqua*

    I am a camper and hiker. What is the best way to see really zoomed in details like trails, cutlines, and dirt / gravel roads?

    What is the resolution?

    • @NASAEarthdata
      @NASAEarthdata  2 года назад

      Hi Francisco, the resolution will vary depending upon the data imagery layer. The highest resolution data that is accessible in NASA Worldview is the Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) imagery layer at 30-meters resolution. To learn more about the project see: www.earthdata.nasa.gov/learn/articles/a-harmonious-new-dataset or www.earthdata.nasa.gov/esds/harmonized-landsat-sentinel-2

    Can i see real time (live) satellite imsge of the earth?

    • @NASAEarthdata
      @NASAEarthdata  3 года назад

      Hi Parvez, NASA Worldview provides the capability to view near real-time imagery (so generally within 3-4 hours of data acquisition). The exception to this is our geostationary data imagery layers, available every 10 minutes. Here is a link to the Geostationary Tour story for more info: go.nasa.gov/33eKOtG

    Thanks for informative videos. I havd a question which only NASA can answer. Is there a site where one could also see the planets position on any dates with some other optional tools of resolutions, etc, similar to the GUI that you used for your webinar.
    Thank you.

    Thanks...will the maps prior to February 2000 be available anytime soon? Or are they available in general in HD?

      Hi Nik, NASA's Terra mission launched on December 18, 2000 so the first corrected reflectance data from that mission is available for early 2000.
