i know this is an old video but just wanted to say how helpful it is that youre explaining the concepts of the things youre doing and go into detail about how the merge tool is etc. too many stormworks YT'er just assume and either speed along, skip ahead to when theyve layed everything out, or even worse; they title their vid as a simple build for total beginners and start messing about with complex microcontrollers and LUA!
Hey man I've been trying to build a submarine for ages I've tried everything but I'm just terrible at it and then I found your video and I finally did it YAY!!! Thank you so much I subscribed
For stability, every vessel (applying to water-based vessels like boats etc) has to be wider than it is tall. This is mostly important for larger vessels
How do I make it so my sub will sit In the water without sinking or floating unless your driving forward and pointing up ( and make it do that when the weight changes )
😮 didn't expect so many to reply to my comment, yes, well, I tried making it, but it had some buoyancy issues, but I have a couple more creations to make up for it, will share the links shortly.
If you want an engine you can add that as a generator. I would recommend 2 large fluid tanks per level of engine for air and exhaust, small engine has 4 tanks total, 2 for air, 2 for exhaust, medium is 8 total, large is 12 total. Use fluid filters to make sure only air goes into the air tanks(use pumps) and use pumps to pump out exhaust when you are above 50 below sea level. Under 50 below sea level will prevent pumps from working(i think).
I think I know how to make a submarine powered by diesel engine even though diesel required air. However, the solution is using empty tank for air supply.
@@bray8949 it was inspired by craig perko submarine. It's not pretty but it's totally durable and not use battery ruclips.net/video/X_3OvoSlYlw/видео.html

Thank you for this great video! It really helped how you showed where and how to use things like the merging tool.
Is this just me or does he sounds like Macy Dean a long lost YourTuber. Loved the design will try my own one Thanks. You got my sub.
yea i got the sinking part but whenever i spawn it in it just tips to on side and when i try to counter it just tips over to that side

Love it please do more like it it really helped me
Great video ! Seriously i think you need more subs for this +1sub
Do a video on how to make a heads up display that displays the artificial horizon. Please
Like on ships, especially when varying weights multiple ballast tanks can be used and filled up differently all automatically with tilt sensors.
830th subscriber I think? Well anyway great vid

I have about 9 creations in the work shop, I'll try to build a submarine too (similar to this one).
I'll notify you all once it's out.

Can one compress air in the game? Otherwise it will not work for long.
I hate pumps. They randomly don’t work. Then they do work. And then randomly stop again.
cooldloop could it be due to (exterior) pressure they can't handle?
I’ve build a submarine that can go under what for a whopping 3 seconds!
Outstanding
ring of fire
i did the thing you did
mine cant sink, pls help
Try weighing your sub down with weight blocks, enough so the top is just showing.
@@MorleyMan oooh i see now, thanks alot! u deserve way more subs man xD
