Tip if you trying to build a row boat thing use the custom door parts the only difference is without the door because the game thinks it’s a sealed area but it’s technically not because the door frame is there but not the door

How do you make the transmission thing
So I have my boat functioning, but it only makes it about 1km from the port and it just shuts off abruptly and won't start again. I've added gauges to monitor everything, but there's nothing wrong. It has over 3000L of fuel, battery is good, engine temp, etc.

I'm having problems with my helm; it doesn't output a numeric value (green dot), only an ON/OFF value (red dot) on the A/D command. None of the helms do, so I can't connect them to the rudder because it needs a green input. Any idea what I should do?

At the start it looks kind of like the 3d printer benchmark boat
Is there a way to in essence make an "auto clutch" in the microcontroller or otherwise so you don't actually have to press W and 1 simultaneously? Like a threshold saying that if the throttle is at a certain point, it smoothly enagages the clutch to avoid stalling?
Yup there is! Check out many centrifugal clutch MCs developed by others! Pretty much that, it slowly opens the clutch as power is applied

Me: Well duh. Don't know where you're from, but obviously it wont float when you drop a heavy object into water from that high.
Lower it down so it doesn't just drop in with force, it'll float just fine. Closed or open

I don't have any time in Stormworks, but as I understand it, you need to keep your center of thrust in line with your center of mass, ideally.
I know this is a bit old, but where exactly is that microcontroller? looked at a few of the other Engineer Explains, but couldn't find it.

Yes, but you have to modify the config file to turn off firstperson only. After doing so tab switches view.

Shame you missed out explaining the center of mass. I always try to put my propulsion inline with it.
