Mark Knopfler, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, Alex Lifeson. Jason Becker, Chuck Schuldiner (Absolute master of metal music who can do sincere and beautiful music even when it has dark and agressive shape. His "Voice of the soul" is one of the greatests guitar compositions i ever heard which contains so much feeling). BB King - the king of blues. Joe Pass, Jim Hall, Jango Reinhardt - some great jazz guitarists i heard who made my life greater.

Brings back memories of 82`.I know the album was released in `78 but i didnt get it until later.I bugged the TOWER RECORDS in Tacoma WA until they ordered some copies.They didnt have any in stock so went there as often as I could requesting a copy.

His guitar abilities, let alone everything else he can play, could have been enough to carry the band. Bringing up Syd in a David solo cut is just odd. Do you really think Pink Floyd would have done what they did without David? Based on actual events, if they didn't bring David in to cover for Syd, Floyd would have disbanded back after the release of Saucerful.
