2022 Toyota Tacoma Raptor-style grille light installation

When looking at modifications for his 2022 Tacoma, Tim decided to add Raptor-style lights to his stock grille. I told him I’d help put them in, and together we made a video. The process is simple and the result is a nice, aftermarket amenity.
This process is the same for any 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma.

So if I want them on with my DRL AND my headlights (when they are on), use the fuse that you did?

So does the fuse you work when the running lights are on AND when the headlights are on, I want them to be on in all positions?

The way it’s set now has it so the lights turn on with the headlights. If you tap it to a fuse that is always on, then the lights will always be on. If you tap it to a fuse that is only on when the truck is on, then they will come on whenever the truck is on. The owners manual or fuse box cover should have a fuse box layout.

You have to buy one that fits your grill. I think there are 2 types, one for TOYOTA Letter grill and one for just logo grill

in this case, they’re for nothing more than cosmetic appeal. just to have a more aggressive look.
fun fact for the day: on some trucks, lights like these are legally required. any vehicle wider than 80 inches must have 3 orange marker lights in the front and 3 red marker lights in the rear to signify their wider width on the road. the more you know!

up to you, though i wouldn’t use super glue since the vapors from super glue can distort plastic pieces such as the grille
