I want to start working with others as a composers. This is kind of helpfull. Thanks
Great tips b/c you explain how to use a process that can be used to help get through a writing-block since that process can produce some sort of composition--may not be what the composer ideally wants---but producing some sort of piece is better than not having any ideas to create compositions and your process helps dismantles writing-blocks.
I compose original music/melodies for book trailers about comic books that I then perform on the guitar, and your tips confirm that I'm not alone in providing similar commentary in my video descriptions about my original music and musical influences.
Thanks for your mentoring! You've inspired me to continue working on my original compositions I am currently working on for Fantasy stories/characters.
Thank you for your feedback! Keep composing! ☺️
The tips and the link are very reassuring! Thank you so much!
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Do they have to do a portfolio if they’re doing Performance?? (Music 1) (Great video btw) 🌸🌸🌸
They do if they decide to do a composition, although most students decide to do performance or viva voces.
@@insidethismusicbox Ah ok. Thank you. 🌸
What if my composition is an improvisation? If I improvised a piano sonata, say, would I record the video of the original playing to compare it with the edited version? I'm worried that I'll get marked down because the marker will get the impression that I'm careless because my first drafts are usually almost exactly the same as the final product because I'm already happy with them.
I guess the situation with compositions for HSC is they all need to be notated accurately in some form. Most commonly using traditional western music notation. You aren't marked on the recording, just the composition itself on the page and the recording needs to match what is on the page. Ensuring that you work to refine your composition to the highest level you can by implementing feedback from your teachers is essential.
