    I'm considering becoming a private singing teacher. What Ameb level piano would you estimate you are?

    Very helpful videos, thank you!
    Could you please list the qualifications required to become a school teacher (music) in Australia? I understand you have a BA in music. What else did you need?

      Thanks! Of course - you have a few options:
      Bachelor of Music (Music Education) - that's what I have
      Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education (Secondary or Primary)
      Bachelor of Music and Masters of Teaching (Secondary of Primary)

    Thank you so much for making this video! May I know how you strengthen all the skills you mentioned? I have a bachelor's degree in music and I'm currently studying for a teaching diploma in my country but I feel like I'm still lack of these skills. Thank you so much!

      Happy to help! I think, to be honest, you just have to practise. The pressure of being in a classroom with kids can force you to learn these things faster but generally, practise makes perfect :)

    *Why tuning guitars is a big deal since there are TUNERS! light n cheap even as APPS*

    • @insidethismusicbox
      @insidethismusicbox  3 года назад +3

      Good question! Because in a classroom, it is too loud generally to use a guitar tuner. If you were to get the whole class to be quiet while you tuned guitars, it would waste a heap of time that kids could be practising - so tuning by ear is the easiest option generally in my opinion :)

    Hi Erin, I'm also a high school music teacher and couldn't agree more with all of your points made in this video as I too, use this skills almost daily. I'm SO good at tuning guitars on the spot now simply from doing it constantly:) Thanks for uploading, Erin.
