Regardless of whether that player or athlete is skilled or not, he or she will always get the attention of the media because of interest coming from people. Think about Anna Kournikova: she had potential but she was never considered to become one of the tennis greats, yet the media covered her because of economic demand. As a result, both Kournikova and the media covering her laughed all the way to their banks. That's how it is, the economic law of demand and supply always applies.
Jealousy and envy are despicable attributes. Caitlin has done nothing to deserve the mistreatment and hatefulness. I'm happy to see her handle this with grace and poise. She makes all her detractors look small.
