I agree. I loved the NB880v10 for speed work. The v11 seemed too firm but softened over time and now the v12 is very soft. I might use them to replace my max cushion shoe because they feel that cushy. I still like the ride but they're not quite as responsive as the previous versions. Still a great value for the money in my option. I like your snappy vs rocker description. I definitely prefer the snappy type shoe, feels more natural to me.

@@racethenation Great advice! I just got a second pair from Zappos for $104.95 in navy eclipse/vibrant apricot colorway. I already had the black/lead that I paid full retail($135). These should last me a couple years. BTW If you wait until summer 2023, you should find these 880V12's for around $99 at the NB outlets nationwide. I live 20 minutes from the Lawrence,MA Factory. I make a yearly or twce yearly trip to the factory store and have over years found some great deals. The 990 series are built there and I used to get 993's for buy 1 get 1 FREE. Those deals are gone now, but you can get 40% off most shoes year round.

I think it's important that we recognize shoe brands that try to use as much recycled and/or sustainable materials as possible. Many brands tout that these days (see my other reviews), Mizuno did not, hence they received an "F".

I stop running in my shoes after 300 miles so I can try others. But I expect you could easily get another 150 miles, so at least 450.
do you think these shoes run true to size in the length? i have the nimbus 25 which fits well length wise, do these fit about the same?
I think they are slightly smaller than the Nimbus 25, very slightly. Just wear thinner socks! 😀
