Hey guys and girls, help support the channel by using the links in the description. It makes a big difference and helps me focus more on making videos, thanks and happy shredding!
great video!! Thanks! I'm totally non biased regarding what board I buy, and I am looking for the best board for the way I ride. I would consider myself an advanced rider, but I don't do much park. I need a board that is stiff enough that feels stable at fast speeds, but I still love doing butters and side hits ALL the time. I've been researching for weeks and this is one of the best videos I've seen. Do you know anything about the Jones mountain twin? If so, Which would you choose for buttering and stability at high speeds? Thanks!
Thank you for clarifying the standout features for these Lib Tech boards. I've spent hours on evo trying to figure out what would best suit me. Longer vids like these are the best btw. The more detail the better
@@ChrisEyres If there's any Orcas left in Whistler by November, that would be the ultimate choice. I want something that's going to perform well in powder but won't suffer as an All Mountain board. Mervin boards really do seem like they're in a league of their own.
Bought a skunk ape last season love it as a guy who has big feet and was booting out on most rental/demo boards. I also picked up an orca for this season absolutely stoked to take it out on a powder day!
I've got the stump ape 162. It is the Widest board I have ever ridden. you can carve so deep that your face will be inches away from the snow and you won't boot out. I am 6 ft 2" with size 12 feet 200 lbs. This is My all time favorite board. Turns super quick and lands EVERYTHING. super stable. So hyped on this board!
Can you guys make a video on stance and where the bindings should be and or show the advantages of the different settings/stance being further front or back ....
That’s exactly what I did. Rode it for the first time on an indoor slope a couple weeks ago and it was sick. Can’t wait to get it out on the mountain this winter.
It's refreshing to find knowledgeable sales guys. Well done! Maybe you can suggest a new board for me. Looking for a POW board. I currently ride a Jamie Lynn C2 and tend to prefer it to my TRS. Both are 156/157 and I"m 5'11" 170-180#'s, and an expert rider. Tried C3 as well and it's awesome when you're hard charging and really driving the board, but C2 is more stable and allows you to kick back and ride the board without constantly having to drive it. Riding a lot of powder and my boards just don't have the necessary float when it gets deep so I need to add a dedicated powder board to the quiver. Looking for directional, set back stance (probably), wider nose/narrower tail, but I haven't had the chance to try a short/fat pow board yet. What would you recommend? Possibilities I'm considering include the Orca, Mullair, Hovercraft, Storm Chaser and others.
Good question. I have the storm chaser and love it in the trees but it really suffers on big mountain. We just rode down a volcano the other day and it was hard work. The orcas are great but my friends have had some issues with delamination. The mullair looks great though I've tried it, they also have an orca mullair called the funguy that you should check out. I've tried the hovercraft a couple times and really like it. Great for powder and carving, fast speeds. Would def give you the float your looking for
@@ChrisEyres Thanks for the reply and the recommendation. As I understand it, the more traditional longer boards are better in the chop and hard charging, whereas the short/fat boards give more of a surfy, playful feel, and may be better in the trees. This makes me lean towards an Orca or Hovercraft, but I'll have to try a short/fat board to see how I like it. My buddy's got a Hovercraft and last time we were riding deep pow I had to struggle to stay afloat but it was a breeze for him. That's what finally made me decide I needed a pow board. He offered to let me try his and I should have taken him up on it so I'll do that. Being in W Washington, I'm confident if I had a problem with a Lib board they'd take care of it. I'd love to find an GNU Impossible to pick up as well. That board rocks!
I'm wondering how the t rice pro compares to the jones mountain twin for 2020. Do they perform similarly in the park? Similar flex? Both sound pretty stable at speed.
thats a good question, i havent ridden the mountain twin myself, but i know the t rice very well, its a fantastic all round board for sure, no complaints. it seems to do everything about 7 or 8/10

Would I be correct in saying that the Ejack Knife is the c3 camber instead of the c2 that the video says? If that is the case is that why the magnatraction is more mellow? Also do you think the Lib Tech Ejack Knife or the GNU Mullair would be better for a intermediate rider? Thanks for any advice anyone sends my way.
They are both well made snowboards! I have tried neither so I don't really have much of to say, I would go box knife personally, c3 profile, but not sure why they went with sintered base on the scratcher and the "eco sublimated sintered" on the knife.

It is really up to you. But get a wide board for sure. 14s are obviously pretty big but there a lot of great wide boards out there. for boots you really have to go into a store and try some on, don't just buy online. @@jakubkost7330 not sure what year model you got but this year's looks cool, for the libtech style. Their website says it's a scaled town trice, which was my daily driver last year, and I have really enjoyed it.
Banana Magic BM ?????!!!!!
Sorry no Banana Magic here

Out here with us in Japan: great board for powder, hard on pump tracks in the trees. That was our impression!
No rocket?!
Sounds like the Orca is for me but I really don't like the graphics... The T. Ras graphics are sick.
Looks cold in the shop lol
🔥🔥I'm now looking for a libtech board lol
It's tough, there are so many choices
*whispers* orca, orCA, ORCA! 🤣
@@Bad_Riders i have the Yes 420 so it would be the same thing i believe.
@@ChrisEyres I see that Chris, what would you recommend for a noob? My friend is looking for a beginner board.
@@joseboardtista68 ohhhh, I'm prob not the best guy to ask, but out of these I would go for the cold brew. It's cheaper than most here and it got their c2 camber, so kinda forgiving, plus magna traction for any icy stuff he might encounter
Good content
Thanks for watching!
Very познавательно
Stump Ape fo lyfe!

Chris Eyres if you are a bigger guy, you won’t regret it. I love mine!
