Allen Stone I am so glad to have found your music. I am eagerly holding on to these VIP tickets to meet you and tell you how much your music means to me in person. Good vibes and love to you dude!
There's a select number of artists that sound as good live as they do on recordings. Then there's even a smaller group that sound BETTER live, and Allen Stone is one of them. Not a single incorrect note, so much raw emotion and energy, and simply pure talent. Such an incredible musician.
Allen stone sounds freaking amazing live, but your comment isn’t great. I can think of dozens of great live bands that never cared about recording and set the bar real low. The Grateful Dead would be #1 on the list.

@@sustainablemma283 Same here. Unaware was his big break but it is old. I personally like his newer "post love/Wiser Allen" material. He speaks a lot of his personal growth in his interviews from the last year or so and it shows in his music. His TEDTalk on mental real estate is a particularly good listen. Taller than I expected haha but seriously a great person. We don’t get people/performers like this often. Appreciate this man and give him his flowers while he’s still here!
Allen is great as usual, but my goodness the back up singers were incredible! Just realised Raquel sang one of my favourite Valerie covers years and years ago! So good to see her on here!

Such an awesome concert! Watching him live is definitely a spectacle, but finally seeing him getting the recognition he deserves is absolutely amazing! This version of Give You Blue had me reminiscing about this one woman I was really into. Maybe someday I can find that kind of love again, but for now, I’ll keep living for myself & wait for that person to give me as much inspiration, if not more, than what she gave me.
One of the most sonically sound and pleasing Tiny Desks I’ve seen. Between Al and the background singers the pianist everything compliments each other perfectly. When their not there you barely notice and when they join in you feel as if they’ve been there the whole time. Thank you for this.
For me, "Give You Blue" is genuinely one of the best songs ever written. There are a handful of songs that once you hear them you think, "this song is timeless." I wasn't even halfway through Give You Blue for the first time when that thought crossed my mind.
I would group it with my all-time favorites like: Gravity - John Mayer Tennessee Whiskey - Chris Stapleton Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley If I Ain't Got You - Alicia Keys Hold On - Alabama Shakes Heaven up There - Palace They just give you goosebumps, you know?
I don’t think people realize who the backup singer on the right is. Raquel Rodriguez is an amazing soul artist that should get a spot on this show as well!
I believe the woman in the middle is Jessica Childress too. Same with her. She opened up for him in L.A. a couple years ago and absolutely slayed. After singing backup for Allen for a long time.
I was a pretty casual fan of Allen Stone prior to this but hearing him live is OUTSTANDING. His voice and tone is so amazingly pure. Thank you again, Tiny Desk

I have been a fan of Allen Stone foreverrrrr and I've seen him live 3 times. He was always a too well kept secret! So glad he will get that audience and recognition he deserves!
Gonna see him love soon? How was it??
All them vocals 👌👌
me: don't cry, don't cry ....
- then he sings 'consider me' -
me: *starts crying*
Oh girl. Bawling at the end 😢😢😢
You need to watch the video,it will dry your tears away...I hope.
My son travels with Allen's band so I hear his miscue often and it still makes me cry. Every. Single. Time!!!
Gurrrrrrrrrrl! GURL!
You're gorgeous
One of the best NPR performaces, from one of the best artists alive! Very strong emotions
The soul in his voice!!! Love his personality too!
There's none like Allen Stone.. absolutely AMAZING
My cousin introduced me to Allen Stone about 5 years ago (Consider Me WHICH GOT ME HOOKED) & I’ve been a fan ever since ! After listening to this Tiny Desk Concert “I Will give you blue” is on repeat at 4am!! MY NEW FAVORITE!!
I just wanna be Allen's friend, he seems like a wonderful person.
HE'S FINALLY ON NPR. YESSSSSS. I'm sad that he's not a secret anymore...
Such a pure humble soul . And his undying desire to express his love for his wife and to express how grateful he is to be able to share his music . Gotta love it !
This man is nobody to play with. ok. 🙏🏾💝
I love that Allen hasnt changed one bit since I discovered him on "Mahogany sessions" years ago.
UnknowN BEATS loll samee, thats exactly what i was thinking
He is the real deal !! Not the what's in the mood of people kind of guy and that's all in his honor.
Allen Stone's music is made for tiny desk
I love him. From his lyrics to raw vocals he never disappoints. A down to earth guy.
I held off on watching this since I've been an Allen Stone fan since day 1 and knew it would hit.
Ive rewatched the first 5 minutes 3 times already. Incredible.
The tiny desk I didn’t know I needed but am now obsessed with
Guess I’m late to the party but I’m sure glad I made it. Really refreshing to find someone so genuine and humble and talented. Thanks to you and your friends for sharing your lovely gift.
That was me as well, but now it's my favorite tiny desk alongside Sam Smith. Gonna try and see him in person within the month
I wish he would've performed "Unaware!!" I love that song!!
YES! Al is finally on the Tiny Desk train!!! Add this one to the list of BESTS with Daniel Caesar, Tom Misch, Anderson Paak, ALLEN STONE!
That's a good list!
@@nprmusic Thanks for making the list possible!
You can add Jordan Rakei😄
@@lilykoss442 Or Thundercat, Cory Henry, Mac Miller, Khalid, Raphael Saadique (BOTH), Miguel... ok honestly, I don't know why I even tried to start a list of bests or favorites cuz I end up including 90% of them
@@ryanparker2701 dude your choices are perfect. Add Snarky puppy and HER too
Such an awesome concert!
I love this dude.
Still coming, back not only for the songs but also for the really good vibes.
That Guild and that piano are perfect together. The blend between the two is gorgeous
I'm loving this man's positive vibes! Stay strong everyone!
consider me so lovely, this whole set is so lovely, ALLEN STONE you ARE AMAZINGGG
I'm literally crying during "Give You Blue." I've always loved this song, but WOW, this performance.
Undine Shorey he makes you feel his music he brings us into the emotions he felt while writing it!! He’s so amazing man!!
My favorite song give you blue
I became an instant fan when I heard "Give You Blue". Listening to it brought me to tears, something I haven't felt in a song in a LONG while.
Same, honestly same ❤️🥹😩
10:25 Brown Eyed Lover 👌 still love that song! Allen Killed It!
Allen Stone is a gift from God and many blessings for his family
I seriously love this guy. He’s so humble and an insane talent.
Allen your music got me through a deployment back in 2015. Congratulations on your beautiful marriage ❤️ So good to see you on tiny desk!!
Thank you for your service. :)
Amanda Feliciano 🙏🏽
Goodness. Those 3 angels that came in at 6:38 thru the rest of the song gave me chills. I can hear and feel them passionately sing every word ❤
One of the most sonically sound and pleasing Tiny Desks I’ve seen. Between Al and the background singers the pianist everything compliments each other perfectly. When their not there you barely notice and when they join in you feel as if they’ve been there the whole time. Thank you for this.
I'm very happy to still have Tiny Desk concerts in my life right now. Thank you for your amazing work.
We're so happy to still be here, thanks for watching!
One of my absolute favourite artists! Had the amazing privilege to attend his concerts twice. So full of soul and love!
OMG the swagger and soulfulness of his music. A new fan. Sometimes we just need music to not only heal our soul but to bring us as a people together.
When Allen Stone first dropped ‘Give you blue’ I literally cried, showed it to my husband and he sings to it to me too 😭 ❤️
For me, "Give You Blue" is genuinely one of the best songs ever written.
There are a handful of songs that once you hear them you think, "this song is timeless."
I wasn't even halfway through Give You Blue for the first time when that thought crossed my mind.
I would group it with my all-time favorites like:
Gravity - John Mayer
Tennessee Whiskey - Chris Stapleton
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
If I Ain't Got You - Alicia Keys
Hold On - Alabama Shakes
Heaven up There - Palace
They just give you goosebumps, you know?
If you are looking for awesome lyricsy check out Kaleo and citizen soldier :)@@kidkoryo
How is it possible that every time I see you or hear you play live, you sound better and better?
Crazy, incredible, out-of-this-world voice.
I don’t think people realize who the backup singer on the right is. Raquel Rodriguez is an amazing soul artist that should get a spot on this show as well!
I remember her from the Anderson paak. Show.
She's awesome! Get to know her when she first played with scary pockets.
I believe the woman in the middle is Jessica Childress too. Same with her. She opened up for him in L.A. a couple years ago and absolutely slayed. After singing backup for Allen for a long time.
Thanks for putting me on!!
Same for Morea Masa, on the left. I saw her open for Emily King about 4 yrs ago in Portland. Great solo artist as well!!
I was a pretty casual fan of Allen Stone prior to this but hearing him live is OUTSTANDING. His voice and tone is so amazingly pure.
Thank you again, Tiny Desk
I can listen to Allen Stone all day and night!!!!! So pure and humbling in his music. Vocals superior!
