My concern is that when one makes a representation they are speaking the truth yet holds back elements of the truth, then it then becomes a lie. To tell people that "repentance", in a biblical meaning is merely to "turn around" is only partly correct. Men that once were religious but then met Jesus made two comments I will present here. Paul, after meeting Jesus, urged people to be "sorry after a godly sort, not a worldly sorrow that worked death". And, the Word in the OT spoke of being sorry for our sins. To tell people just "turn around and accept God's unconditional love" is not the truth; partly, but not completely. Paul also spoke of being a servant of Christ and not seeking to please men. To please men and give them a smooth word is NOT to be serving Christ at all. That is not new, for so did the false prophets as recorded in Jeremiah 23. If they were of God, then they would tell the people the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help us God.
Amen I am trusting God to help me think of Him more and more.
