I think one main key to the Buffs early success is establishing a running game, if they can run for 100 yds a game they have a good chance to be in every game and win as well.
Great point. To be able to run and stop the run. Huge. Their ability to stop the run this year is light years ahead of last year team which is also a big reason for their success. If they played UCF last year, Harvey easily runs over 200 yds.
Oh my gosh, the first commentator who explains things! I love how he circled safety, then said as soon as his bites down that’s a green light. I loved understanding this play. Liked and subscribed
Yes, he was but when the safety cheated up, "Pre-snap read" is like he said, send it to Travis one-one. If the safety didn't come up and dropped to double Travis, go to the next read.
Trevor Woods had a position change last year from safety to LB. This year TW lost his starting position and fell to a third down LB package 📦. He went from starting to third string. He wants to play next year so he is deciding to Redshirt
I don't see Shedeur Sanders being a serious contender for the heisman (not because he's not good enough but because I wouldn't give it to a QB this year). My front runner right now is Travis Hunter with Ashton Jeanty not far behind. I don't think we're going to see crazy numbers from Shedeur at all this season. He seems to be commited to only doing what he needs to inorder to win and take whatever the defense is giving him. In situations where their running game is working, I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a step back and go with that or if the field needs to be shortened then fine. I'm not expecting any of those 500yd games from him unless Colorado gets into a shootout with some team later in the season. He seems to feel like he's already proven what he needs to for the draft (for me he proved it last year with how he played overall behind that subpar o-line). Of course I could totally be wrong, but that's just where I'm at right now.
Travis for sure gonna be top 3 in “HE12MAN” votes. Don’t count Shadeur out yet though, I think he could finish the year with 35+ passing TD’s and over 4,000 yards. Also, CU has been so bad the past 20 years dude it’s literally been a movie these past two seasons. If we win 9 games I almost guarantee you one of those two will take home the Heisman!
@@MikeHunt5-v8u I agree. I'm just saying that I don't THINK that will happen, meaning I'm not predicting it. The reason I'm not predicting it is because I believe he has the mindset of "Hey, this season is a marathon, not a sprint. Let me do whatever is needed to win games. However, if another aspect of the team can win games for us then that's fine too." I think if he has those stats you mentioned, it will be because he had to play a lot of hero ball and it's clear from everything the team has said that they don't want to do that. They want to truly improve the defense, special teams and the running game/line play instead of just saying "Hey let's rely on Shedeur, Travis and 3 ballers at receiver to just save us every game." So for those reasons, I'm not projecting Shedeur to win the Heisman. However, if things keep going the way they are, I do think the heisman is Travis Hunter's to lose. No offense to Ashton Jeanty because he's balling out. But we will have seen seasons like his before. We won't have seen a seasn like Travis' before (if he just keeps at the same pace in stats).
As far as Travis Hunt. As a coach; I'd try to sign him as a corner, (so I'm not paying him so much) then see how much reciever time I can get him. Leave NOTHING on the table. Try him. As the player; Sign as a reciever and show in practice that I have the stamina for both. Remind the staff I have the intelligence, skills and emotional stability to balance such responsibilities. Then, it only becones a matter of stamina. Which can be portioned per game, per time of season, per opponent.

I think Shedeur doesn't care about the Heisman, he'd rather go #1 in the draft. Typically, the Heisman doesn't always go #1. However, Travis may be #1 because of his brand awareness, which will bring in a lot of money.
They need to improve a little more in the run game and play way more consistent to make a playoff push but they have the talent to beat anyone left on the schedule but if they play like they did against Baylor they won't beat K-State, OKst, Arizona, or Utah. I can't wait to see how they come out of this bye week and play against K-State, I think this is the biggest game of the Prime era. Get a win next week in Folsom and you can afford to go 4-2 down the stretch and still make the B12 championship at 9-3.
It depends on who’s willing to believe in Hunter 100% he has proven to be a very special player maybe 1 in a 100 year player both sides of the ball but I think he should make an excellent DB
