    I think you’re doing wonderful babe. It’s scary to throw yourself out there for sure. I am focused on just doing videos and improving one thing each time. It’s a quantity journey thus far. Trying to grow quality through learning with quantity. If you have a sec I have my analytics on CPM and RPM for our sort of niche uploaded - if you are curious what that looks like. I feel like you’ll get those 1000 subs sooner over later.

    You are a natural. Honestly. I have 480 subscribers after my 20th video, which is pretty good, I hear, my biggest weakness is not acting like myself on camera. It seems like you have that figured out. I just subscribed keep up the good work.

    I love your channel. I just watched your real time closet declutter and it's exactly what I've been looking for on RUclips! It's so much better than the decluttering videos out there with the decluttering process sped up, with some kind of (inevitably annoying) music playing. I love seeing and hearing the process in real time and hearing your thoughts throughout the process is much more fun to watch and much more helpful to me as I go through my decluttering tasks. ❤ Thank you!!

    • @MillennialMeg
      @MillennialMeg  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much for the thoughtful response. I agree, I get annoyed with most music in videos too. Especially if someone is trying to talk over it at the same time.
      But I do usually add some here and there.
      I definitely have plenty more to declutter in my house so I’ll keep going with that. But I’m going to try some other styles as well.
      Glad you enjoy what I’m doing ❤️

    This was great and helpful. Don't apologize for analyzing! I watch The Minimal Mom too and Living with Cambriea, among others. I think they've also been posting for YEARS. So you're really courageous. I keep meaning to post about decluttering and can't seem to find the time and courage to do it. ❤

    I heard a Yiumtube advice channel say this early in my journey and it had stuck with me, "Dont compare your beginningbto someone else's middle ornend." For me. watching someone declutter an already clean space is sooo disheartening. I want to see the messy, just getting started, where do I even BEGIN? And that's hownive done my seasonal closet swap and declutters. Getting ready to do it again. I have so much decluttering I want to do and film, but for me, getting started isnthe hardest part. So watching someone do it in real time, and hearing the thought process on what they keep or get rid of is really helpful.
    And I agree, Nate is awesome.
    You are doing awesone! I think this multi-faceted channel focus is becoming more popular. And I like it! We are more than just one niche, and so are our viewers.

    I am experiencing a similar feeling regarding doing too much. I am sticking to my current plan (daily videos for 90 days straight) which I am getting very near! I need to make about 14 more videos.
    I tried making shorts and had plans to post on all platforms... but it feels like way too much for one person! I am planing on going down to 1 video a week from April 17th. Doing all the same things you mention in trying to improve also.

    I just found you. I've been watching decluttering content for about a year now and been on that journey. Be yourself because you do offer something unique. I came across your video where you showed what was on your table and another where you're cleaning your basement and share the real, mental struggles of a woman, a mother, someone who doesn't have help but lives in a house with others who could help. When I saw your videos, I said to myself, now there's someone who I can relate to. I'm 47, divorced, single mother with 3 daughters: 20, 18, and 6 (bi-racial), work full time, middle class. I don't know your back story, but you are real and believable, like you could be my neighbor (which is comforting). I'm in WI and you're in IL which also brings some parallels. I also watch minimal mom and love her. She often talks about the mental toll clutter takes however she is so far into her journey that you don't "see" the struggle much anymore. You are at the beginning of your journey, and I feel your frustration, exhaustion, resentment, desire to change, desire to help others, etc...all of the things I believe women feel, especially mothers. I struggle w/ depression and anxiety; so do my older daughters. There is a real need to normalize mental struggles and to welcome them in conversation. I also enjoy Clutterbug but for different reasons. She has great tips but also has ADHD and is frickin hilarious because she's so quirky. I saw this in you with the intro to your April challenge video. Show us all your sides. All this to say keep going, keep doing you, and you are special. I never, ever comment on videos but felt a pull to do so in this situation. Also, your views are double and triple your subscriber count; I don't think it's wrong to point that out and ask people to stay if they truly enjoy you. Shannon Torrens recently did that in her video and I thought to myself, yeah, why not give her the benefit when I am always coming back for her videos. Any who...good luck and God bless; you got this!

    Best of lucks for you! My non-expert opinion: vlogs are more difficult to monetize. As you said you LEARN a lot from RUclips. People use youtube as a search engine to learn "how to." Therefore, you should try to concentrate in that and added to the content you like to do. Example: Instead of "clean my car with me" use "5 tips in how declutte your car blank" blank can be: fast, under 10 minutes, or and keep it that way. And to retain audience then your intro must be a piece of the clip where you are giving the 3 tip or where you show a easy way to do something people struggle etc. Something to catch the attention and keep people watching. Again, not an expert. Just what I have heard and see works for others and even for me as a consumer

      Something I forgot to mention. Avoid placing the thumbnail text in the right side or at the bottom. The video time will cover the information and people when checking out your channel on the phone are less prompt to open that video
