This game deserved a movie, it has given me a lot of nostalgia, I would be between 8 and 10 years old when I played it, obviously they always killed me, it was quite a challenge
@@GMOTP5738 I doubt that. Bruce Willis was still big in the 90s and it would have been the perfect opportunity. His movies including the Fifth Element and 12 Monkeys were really loveable. Apocalypse would have been an action packed movie with Bruce Willis kicking ass!
Been saying that for a while now. This would made such an awesome late-90s sci-fi + dark fantasy action movie. It was the perfect era for a movie like this.
I remember borrowing this from a friend back in elementary school and trying to beat it over a weekend but not being able to beat the second boss. I'm so glad I get to see the rest of this game thanks to RUclips. Thanks for uploading!
Lol my mom saw me scrolling through demos when I was a kid and encouraged me to play this lol! I thank her wholeheartedly, the best part was hearing those screams when you’d flame them up 🤣
I still have a ps1 and a copy of this game that came with the box. This was the game that made me a gamer. This was my first game along with tomb raider 2 or 3. I'm 35 now so not sure how old I was, but the ps1 was a surprise after school my mom got me during the day. She bought me this because my best friend had a PlayStation with tomb raider 3 and I always wanted to be at his to play it. So she bought me the PlayStation and tomb raider so I would stay home. But this game came with the PlayStation at the time and since Bruce Willis was my hero at the time due to die hard and last boyscout. I was addicted I played it so many times I could almost complete it with my eyes closed. This is a real sense of nostalgia for me. I also noted its one of the first games to force using the joysticks instead of the direction keypad to move. I never liked using the joysticks until this, which is lucky because almost every gane after used them.
I beat this game yesterday (9-20-20). Good music, fun gameplay, and cool atmosphere. This is an underrated classic to me now. Also the "I....feel....GOOD!" line is stuck in my head lol.
Era 2001, 5am antes de que mis padres se levantaban, iba yo a prender mi play 1 y ponía esta joya, hermoso juego que quedará siempre en mis buenos recuerdos
I used to play this as a kid, I loved the explosions lol Being much older now I can see what the devs were going for here, it's a throwback to the Contra Style Shoot 'em ups with an added Cyberpunk flare, I can see those Blade Runner influences in the cutscenes even if they are loud. But it's the 90s, they were aiming for an aggressive playstyle and an even more aggressive introduction (you start killing people the second you have control lol), the soundtrack is a beast too Man ...I love nostalgia
wow, i don't know how my parents let me play this game when i was 7yo haha. i am felling very nostalgic right now. And for those confused for how weak the enemies are, i think he is using cheat codes to make the run more comfortable. These were input during the menu screen if i remember correctly. He has infinite HP, Ammo, bombs (the "suck on this") and lifes. still thanks you for uploading the video.
If they were like mines then the game wasnt for you. My old man bought this for himself and my uncle to play and I just got to have a go when my dad got bored of games or my uncle was away to the bookies 😂
I had this on the PS1 - I remember loving the controls - run in any direction with one joystick, shoot in any direction with the other. So simple and effective.
Same and luckily I still own my disk of it so gonna hook up the ole PS2 (cause I don't have a PS1 laying around anywhere) and pop that in. Only downside is that I don't have a memory card so it looks like I'ma have to beat it in 1 run and deathless.
Like most of you guys I also finished this game when I was 7. It was such an achievement for me even my dad was proud cause he saw how long I was struggling with level 5. Great game, awesome memories. But for GOD'S SAKE how did Bruce Willis managed to paralize his prison fellow and then just make a fucking SHOOTING WITH EVERYTHING gun out of a sink? Please tell me how. I am 26yo now and I am still curious.
they should do a full reimagining with Bruce Willis again for the ps5 with the same levels but more details and sort of like a last of us but faster gameplay the weapons were cool and storyline too so they can keep these things the same
why this was never made a movie, the game for me at the time was one of the best, and using bruce willis was the best thing ever,i really hope that they could make this a movie while bruce is still around
I remember my uncle bought this for his PS and I was hooked on watching him play. When I got my own ps the first game I asked for was this game. I completed the whole game the first day.

I remember this game being hard as f*ck
One of the best games on PS along with Siphon Filter
Syphon was the best including this one ..
Ah, a man of culture.
Yes it was
Yes syphon filter was awesome, but only the original version. The German or European version had green blood, that was weird af lol
@Condenado?
That scream of the enemies burning alive is something that stuck with me since childhood
facts
and that's OK
All swarming out with their blade arms, I was fucking glad to have that flame thrower
I'm here because of this
@@paulorufalco yeah, sound much more like the death screams in twisted metal 3. I've been looking for that stock audio for a while.

Most definitely it needs a remake

This game deserved a movie, it has given me a lot of nostalgia, I would be between 8 and 10 years old when I played it, obviously they always killed me, it was quite a challenge
Not really would've just been a low budget 90s movie that people today would be making fun of
@@GMOTP5738 I doubt that. Bruce Willis was still big in the 90s and it would have been the perfect opportunity. His movies including the Fifth Element and 12 Monkeys were really loveable. Apocalypse would have been an action packed movie with Bruce Willis kicking ass!
Based off Bruce Willis’s current career it might still happen
But there is an Apocalypse movie starring bruce willis 😒 🤔
Been saying that for a while now. This would made such an awesome late-90s sci-fi + dark fantasy action movie. It was the perfect era for a movie like this.
I played a demo of this a child and never knew what it was. Holy shit
That song from the Plague level is "Control" by Poe. Just in case anyone was wondering.

I remember beating this game as a teenager, such a great nostalgic feeling!
This game is so stupid on so many levels. And I love every bit of it.

1998 was a solid year for gaming and this game was a testament to my childhood during that time.
Came here after hearing the first Tony Hawk game engine was based on this engine haha
The real Cyberpunk 2077...
Visually looks just as good and runs at the same frame rate!
Tnx man. U make me remember my childhood :)

este juego fue bastante especial, perdi como 20 vidas solo en el nivel 1, y luego en la vida 21 me lo pase todo de corrido
The developers didn't waste Bruce's talents, they had him originally to be the side kick and things changed during development.
