    Thanks for clearance. I had also correct these three options sir but in many famous coaching books, answer keys and vedios have wronged the third option giving the arguement that when set is finite, power set has cardinality finite and when set is countable then Power set has cardinality uncountable. So, I was in doubt

    Sir options 3 me confusion hai. Kyoki power set ki cardinality ya to finit hoti hai ya uncountable. Sir please explain.

    Sir N = countable & card(P(N))= c
    It means 3rd option should be wrong & baaki overall nice explained by u.

    Countable set means finite or countably infinite.
    For 3 option, give a example which P(A) is countably infinite.....

    Sir abstract ka ek doubt hai.. suppose d divides order of G then how to check that there is an element of order d.

    • @RahulMapariBasicMaths
      @RahulMapariBasicMaths  6 лет назад

      Firstly, It is not always possible that if d divides order of G then it has element of order d.
      Eg- kliens four Group has no element of order 4
      Actually this is depend on group, if it is cyclic then whatever divisor of order G it has element.
      For non abelian it is different. So plz try to read how to analyse structure of group.

    • @vikassrivastava7979
      @vikassrivastava7979 6 лет назад

      BY convention every finite set is countable. take any finite set you can find a injective map from that set into the natural number so by definition it is countable.

    • @vikassrivastava7979
      @vikassrivastava7979 6 лет назад +1

      And you can show that there is no set such that power set is countable. I mean you can never find a set whose power set is countable. It is result.
