  • How to remove a CV axle (hub) nut on a Toyota Yaris without the need for air or impact tools. For this nut I used a 30mm 12 pointed deep socket and a breaker bar. The recommended tightening torque for this particular axle nut is 216 Nm (159 foot pounds). Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.

Some of these are really tight for me. To make it even easier, I use a piece of pipe at the end of my breaker bar for a bit more leverage 👌 great vid

Nice DIY! I need an axle nut on my vehicle. I had a repair done on one of my wheel bearings, but the damm mechanic either forgot to put it on or it fell off on the road somewhere. 😮 Now my tire is wobbly and outtoed! Can this nut be put on by a breaker bar or does it need to be torqued on by a air tool?

You can use a breaker bar but ideally you should use a torque wrench to finish tightening it to the recommended 216 Nm (159 foot pounds)

Time Stamp: 00:20: You said to tap up the stalked part of the hub nut. So, you are using the screwdriver to bend the small part of the metal up? I know the reason why this is necessary, but I am asking since it seems hard to imagine a skinny screwdriver could bend that metal up. Thanks.

Does it perfectly fine just so long as your screwdriver isn't made of tin

Tell me how to get a CV axle back together while still on the car. Mine popped out while changing the right side strut on my 2000 Honda Accord. It's been on jack stands for 3days

It should just slot back into the transmission. This video might help : ruclips.net/video/XNr2EdI_oy4/видео.html

@@screwsnutsandbolts thank you for the link & help. But the axle came apart inside the rubber boot closet to the transmission. I've tried to work it back together without taking the boot off; no luck. I got a new clamp & grease today. Tomorrow I'll slip the boot back and put the axle joint back together.
