I had to say that I really can't understand why people find it difficult to take the DIY and make it their own without complaining about your painting techniques or that they'd sew something instead of use hem tape or they don't like the rustic look🤦♀️ It's really shouldn't be that stressful to take what you like and leave out what doesn't work for you without complaining and having to nit pick on you. I went to DT after you shared your amazing new crafters square corner haul of the new items and my mind was so blown! I went 3 days in a row and found new items that I didn’t even see on your video!! So thank you for sharing all of that. I didn’t buy the tie dye kit bc, I wanted to see if you love it or not! I didn’t find my stars either but I did find the raw wood blocks and much more! So happy with my finds!! Finally...after all of that being said🤣... you rock and I would’ve never thought of using the blocks like this! I like that cashew color! I’ve been trying to get something other than white and ivory, plaster and cashew must be so popular bc they are always sold out! I lucked up and found mineral but I love this look!! That was really a cute tissue box holder. I'm into shabby chic but that was really cute for rustic farmhouse. It gave me an idea of what I could do with my shabby chic look
I needed to use 4 rows of 15 blocks and 2 rows of 16 blocks to made the lid fit the base. I made one for my Aunt's birthday. I love ALL your wonderful ideas!

Hello, first let me say thank you for your kind words❣️as for using a water paint with these blocks yes it will warp them after they’ve been glued together! A paint that won’t get absorbed into the wood is best👍🏻🧡☀️
Somewhere in one your DYIs you mentioned these blocks were essential in your crafters stash. I took your advice to heart. Every time I went to the DT store, I picked up a few boxes. When they would run out or pre Covid, I added several boxes when they were available. Just organized my craft room & counted 39 boxes of blocks. I'm blaming you Kelly 😆. So glad you did this DYI!

Thanks for this video, we too have a tissue box in every room so it will be nice to hide them when I can get to a dollar tree store. I related when you were talking about antiques, I'm the same way. I carry that even further because we moved to rural Colorado and every time I see the remnants of an old house, corral, etc. I wonder about the history of it, the people, their lives way back when.
