The the inheritance is Norwegian, and I am Swedish, I simply love the stuff Finn J:r dishes out. I recognize most of the elements and cannot but commend him. A great clip!!!
That french toast we call "Arme Riddere" in norwegian. Wich transeøqtes to poor knights. Actually "Arme Riddere" is bread just soaked in milk and cooked on the pan while "rike riddere" (rich knights) are soaked in milk and eggbatter and then cooked but everybody just calls it arme riddere. Edit: that julekake has nothing to do with traditional norwegian julekake. And no we don't eat it all year. We have a similar bread that is called honningbrød/honeybread that we eat all year but it's not the same.
@@fglend73 In Austria and Germany it´s illegal to sell anything as a wiener schnitzel which is not made from veal, flattened, breaded and pan fried. Using the same method but pork meat you are allowed to call it schnitzel vienna style. I like what that dude is cooking and would order his "schnitzel" but is as close to a wiener schnitzel as a cheese´n onion sandwich is to a cheeseburger.
Food looks great, i much more prefer 1 owner, mom & pop places vs chain places to eat, we need more scandanavian/ norwegian restaurants in the u.s., not just in Minnesota, i know this place is in utah
Scandinavian twist... Scandinavia consists of three countries so... Call this a Norwegian restaurant, it's as simple as that. As a Swede I have no clue what Danish or Norwegian people eat...
Because he adapted it so that the food will have flavor unlike authentic Scandinavian food which is disgusting and flavorless and is based on rotten herring and battery acid
Hi, my name is Guy and I was caught playing the skin flute in my high school kitchen while in the 11th grade. You should not eat anything that I make with my hands. Anyway, I’m guy and I’m an idiot.

Guy really has to think twice about how he presents himself to the younger generation and well-informed people. Driving around in a climate-polluting bomb isn't really what literate/educated people cherish these days, is it? Food industry is rapidly moving towards climate-friendly methods and ingredients. I guess if your show does not keep up you are soon history. Don't shoot me, I am only the messenger! :-P

There are some rules... you just don´t break....
Greetings from Austria
In cooking there is. Stop being so uptight.

Only a psycho would ever prefer a chain restaurant to a mom and pop single location joint
@@MyKeeP81 Yeah, but when you're hungover, just done a huge bong rip... You can't beat hunching over and scarfing down 12 McDonald's oily hash browns.
interesting
Mmmmm I’m jealous. 💟☮️
Second person who spoke sounded like Peter Parker 😂
It's called an eggs royale if it's with salmon, Benedict IS ham, Florentine is spinach
Jaaabooooodeeeeeeee!
Didnt realise i lived 30 min from this place🤦🏻♂️
Weiner Schinitzel is Vienesse Schnitzel not Scandanavian...
That's also not a Wiener Schnitzel

I see what you’re trying to say, but it’s still a total logical fallacy. You could have constructed your argument much more directly and succinctly.
@@TheRealPDizzle OK. They're fucking wrong.
@@TheRealPDizzle Logical fallacy? Enlighten me then, you Scandinavian food expert.
Well wienerschnitzel is not a Norwegian dish thoooo
I always thought he looked like Chappy Chapman
Cardamom is a common spice here
Joula kaka!
Hahaha 😂
Nobody gonna say anything about the random AUTOTUNE at 1:14
Dude kinda sounds like Thanos, not gonna lie.
.... As a Scandinavian (Dane) I'm shocked and deeply disturbed.
Why
Because he adapted it so that the food will have flavor unlike authentic Scandinavian food which is disgusting and flavorless and is based on rotten herring and battery acid
På slutten er det Værste søle eg he sett!
If it's European..you know it's GOOD!!. Guy should know because he has European Roots!
Nice the Schnitzel so far away from a real one it’s not even funny but as always the American version is better
Citron is not a melon
Viena snitz no proper is young beef in breadcrumbs
Y
Pretty sure citron is a variety of citrus fruit, not a melon :-|
Citron is French for lemon lol you’re spot on
Scant portions
I am from Sweden and i got no clue what the fk you're talking about "Scandinavian Twist"
Ironically old American mindset does NOT match new American capitalism
Det kaldes en dreng i Danmark
Hey, there's no "T" in your last name... who knew.
