I work in Auto Collision for 40 years and did a fair amount of re-wiring... Lately, I've been wiring a Dodge truck (after a short burnt out "all" the wires)... I've watched "Dozens & Dozens" of wiring videos from all kinds of "Professionals" - They all have one thing in common "They all either assume that - I - know the basics ( ? ) or They leave out (minor, but important) steps (That is obvious once you see it)... The way you did your video (weather by accident or on purpose) didn't skip a detail... Showing the templet and the panel and "Explaining" it step by step really helped... For "Wiring" a fuse panel this is the # 1 video...

Great work and a nice step up in the video editing here and the last one too! Looking professional all around! Only suggestion I could make is running a ground wire from fuse panel to truck body and make sure the body's grounded to frame. Keep all the juices flowing freely back to batree. Looking forward to the next video!

Its nice to see people still scratch wire their cars. Kits are easy, but prefer custom tailoring mine to each vehicle. I have a 56 F100 my dad schooled me on wiring from scratch. Sadly so.e components he use to use are disappearing or being cheaply made. You do nice work! Like where you placed you panel. I stuck my speakers there so placed mine on the back (inside) of the firewall near the column. Great video!

Thank you! Im excited to do all of it from scratch. My dad has taught me a lot about wiring i just enjoy the cable management and making it look good part.

Great work. Very neat and professional. Have you considered adding a grounding busbar to attach all the other ground wires to.

Definitely. I do plan to add it but it will be located in a different area.

Nice job, only edition I did that i used 100amp autofuse and 100amp relay. So i can use 1200w instead of only 480w that you get of a 40amp relay.

I'm trying to wire a 69 vw bug i don't like how the factory fuse box works its hot all the time on most fuses I need the box to be Hot only when the key is on because im afraid there will be something left on and it will drain the battery. The only wire i have found that is hot when the key is in the on position is the Coil wire. Its to small to handle a fuse box and i was told that the switch would most likely not handle the load. After seeing your video and you showing adding a 40 amp relay before the fuse box gave me the ideal i need. If I run the battery to the 30 pin hot on a relay and the small 16 gauge wire from the switch to the relay (Coil wire ) that should take care of my issue. What are your thoughts on it any help would be appressed thanks from OKLA

A relay is definitly the way to go as far as switching power to anything that carries a lot of current.

One thing I can’t seem to figure out with any video (I’m a noob) is the switch in line. Is there a separate fuse panel that you run those wires to the switch from?

hi bro, the power panel wiring diagram link cannot be accessed?

Man I have some questions I cant answer.
    1. For determining wire size from battery to fuse panel, do I total up the amps I’ll be utilizing? Say, I have 4 accessories that are 10 amps each. Do I call that a 40amp fuse box? Therefore making my awg 8? Or can I just use a random size beefy wire anyway? Does length come into play when determining size? My battery is about 4 feet from my aux fuse block.
    2. Does the ground wire size matter?
How do i determine the correct size amp circuit breaker? Ill be using less than 100 amps total with all of my accessory amps added up. Not even sure if thats the correct way either haha. Im very confused.
