I was the Hunter Clade player in the pods. It was my first time playing against Heirotek. Great game but I definitely got got congrats on the win and great tournament results!
When Ryan hit double 5s and retained cover against my traitor marksman’s opening shot, I knew I wouldn’t be confirming crits with my Diabolic Bomb on turn 2. It did proceed to totally whiff even though I gave it normal blooded token to confirm a hit. I sometimes wonder on those turn 2 aggressive grenade plays if I should just move the blooded token to a different model. I would have rolled 12 dice instead of 9. That attack really needs some crits in there to shine. I’m not sure who got killed by the spotter. I think it was the thug. You put someone against a wall and I had to peek his head out to claim visibility to fight. The commissar was the operative who I x measured a charge with, but then comms him so I could charge-fight-shoot. Ryan just responded by repositioning that initial target. So I move-dash-shoot with the bolt pistol…and did no damage. The enforcer can usually kill 2 GEQs in his turn instead of the one an ogryn kills. Maybe I should run both against Vets. Finally I also got his plasma with my plasma, but I forgot about only in death! I should have set up a get down mister President. I think Ryan had a much better turn one and was in a much better positions than I was. Don’t think I was going to win a drawn out game, but without early kills I got no where at all against him. Can’t say I’m sorry the vet guard got nerfed. I hope I get to rematch him at the next Adepticon.
I'm surprised y'all were surprised to see the Blooded guy opt for no Ogryn against Vet Guard. If I recall correctly, you've had a Blooded expert on this channel recommend taking the 4 Troopers against hordes.
Hey, been listening to you guys for a while now, great job! Shane, I have a question for you! If you were piloting legionary, playing your best game against yourself, playing Hierotek also playing your best. You are playing 6 games in total, 3 on open (loot, capture, secure) and 3 on ITD (loot capture, secure) Which team would come out on top?
Jeez, that's a tough one! Pre-Nanomine nerf, Hierotek probably takes all three games on open board, and at least one on Into the Dark. Post nanomine nerf it's a little tougher to say right now. My gut tells me I'd do better with Legionary, but hard to say.

Huge, huge congrats!
Novitiates' burning advance with burning wrath has left me with trauma. Many many Legionnaires have fallen to it.

@@shanesmith447 Do you feel Hierotek is better or worse overall after the dataslate?
@@jeffreymonsell659 It's very very close. The consensus among other players is that they're slightly better but I'm not sure about that yet.
