Méltán, generációjának egyik legjobb tenorja volt világszinten is, az erős mezőnyben. Itthon méltatlanul kevesen ismerik, Marton Éva és Svéd Sándor mellett a legnagyobb világkarriert befutott magyar operaénekes.
Magnificent! I've been very fortunate to hear many of his broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera on their Sirius Radio channel. He was a superb Lohengrin and I was so impressed by his Edgardo in the two broadcasts of Lucia di Lammermoor.
Thank you Verdiguy🙏I loved Konyas Voice after I first heard it 40 Years ago His Lohengrin was a Milestone in 1958 at the Bayreuth Festival Their is a lot of Konya on U Tube Ballo, Forza, Rigoletto as well as Verdi Canzoni and Operetta He would turn 100 Years old in 2023

Love him.....treue tenor voice❤
Amazing! Very clear and open sound. And the subtle touches, slight diminuendos at the end of each line. A very elegant Nessun Dorma.
Many thanks!

Is the recording pitched up slightly? Or sped up?
Not that I know of,the Recording is from the Master Tape of RIAS,Berlin where the Concert was broadcasted in 1965.
I asked because then he’s singing the high C!
