I know, I know, the 10 year anniversary was two days ago, but I had to miss it due to being at Ciderfest.
Anyway, I figured releasing a fully remastered render of this song would be fitting to celebrate Chant Of Immortality's 10th birthday. Definitely one of teh cleanest mixes I've done to date. I didn't re-record *everything*, but I did re-record the guitar solo, the bass, and the drums. Everything else has just been mixed and balanced better, and been given the punch it deserves.

This is such a profound and moving song. Not one time have I listened to it without tearing up at least a little. It reminds me of all kinds of nostalgic, as well as my childhood and teen memories, including great ones with MLP (Even though I joined the fandom late). Reminder of mortality is something that should be kept, not avoided, to show us what a great joy it can be to be alive even for a moment of eternity.
Hm. Seems we interpereted the song differently between us, you and I.
I'd took it as a *good* think Twi's acting as a sort of a permanent record.
Thank you for all these years of incredible music, strong emotions and truly happiness. You are a loving legend, and I really hope that our fandom will never disappear. At least, the memories of all this moments would never fade away.

Remember hearing Chant of Immortality for the first time when it got posted to EQD in the same music spotlight post as my first song. Still stirs some wonderful memories in me each time I hear it~

This song will always hold a special place in my heart, the lyrics are soft yet extremely impactful, impactful to the point where I recited the chorus at my father's funeral a few years back. Everyone who attended liked it as well and I shall never regret that choice.

After the week iv had.
This really feels like the song that plays as a hopeful happy ending.
Spent a whole week in the hospital with a slew of things wrong with me.
Missed Thanksgiving with friends, where my only meal were the ivs in my veins, and saline solution for me to consume before my operation.
I leave the hospital in a couple days with new ambition, new plans for my life.
A week to reflect mostly by myself (aside from nurses coming in and out and occasional friend visitin) gave me a lot to realize about shaping my life for the future.

I still remember the first time I heard my first chant... Chant of Immortality.
Every time I listen to him, I feel awe of something immense and inexplicable. The Mane Six standing
against the background of cosmic landscapes perfectly conveys this atmosphere in all the chants (DragonwolfRooke is a great artist!).
So I say thank you very much and congratulate you on the 10th anniversary of the Chant of Immortality,
without you with Chi-Chi and RainSnowHail it would not have been possible!
Happy 10th to what is probably (in my mind at least) the best music series of this fandom.
Finally realized what always stuck out to me about this song, outside of it being about my favorite: Twilight.
It also has a couple subtle paradoxes and temporal puns in it.

Whereas the original felt more like a solemn ballad reflecting on memories past and a true feeling of loss of what once made one happy, this version feels like a celebration of those memories. Wonderfully made song, both of them. Definitely earned a spot on my playlist.

Wonderful remaster, but I personally still prefer the very first version, Chichis voice together with yours adds that little extra that makes it even more special. And one really old cover version still sends a slight shiver down my spine every time: Woodlores guitar version. That slow-down on "not ready to let them go" was such a small but powerful change...

This could be a song just for Spike alone since he's been confirmed to be in G5 means that he has outlived every single character from G4 which is so messed up
While the deeper and more gloom version is wonderful
- the upbeat version has spirit I cant deny. It gives the song a howl new angle like it cheers for the passed time (with no regrets) ^^
