    This is the one I'll try for my eyelet ribbon, fast and easy to remember. I'll do it with the end and beginning of the ball of the yarn so I'll not measure the length of the cord. Thanks again🌸🌼🌹

    Oh, this is much better than the other method of having to take off 2 loops every time.

    I've modified it a bit where I'm using both ends of the ball of yarn so I don't risk running out of yarn

    I use this as my foundation row instead of chains and then single crochets - its really easy and neat.

    Omg. This is exactly what I wanted. I crocheted a newborn sun hat, and I wanted to add ribbon around the hat portion and the wavy brim but ribbon just wasn't the feel I wanted so I wondered if I could make my own. I love this yarn cord. It is perfect!!❤❤❤ Thank you so much!!!

      I usually just make a chain, turn, and slipstitch into the back of each chain. Looks quite similar and works wonderfully for washcloths etc. ;)

      Same here, I need a rope for a Halloween costume and I figured since now I’m into crochet I can somehow find a way. On top of that I want to make something to cover my kids cords(they are always stealing mine and when they are brand new) 😂 so there’s no way they are getting out of this one since I know I’ll be able to do this 😂 Have a good weekend and be safe

    Ive never been great at maths but does this mean that you need a starting tail x5 longer than you want your cord to be? Ive got two names to make and dont want to run short!

    Greetings from France 🥰 Congratulations. A big Wowwwwwwzzzy. I agree with many viewers of removing two silly loops thing. I was DESPERATELY looking for a simple video and came across yours. This was my LAST hope. Didn't give up and watched the beginning and to my surprise IT WAS THE BEST OF THE VERY BEST video on RUclips. Measurements were really interesting.     Thank you!! This is so much easier and faster than an i-cord. I used this for the wires in my Blitzcrank video because an i-cord was too thick but a tight chain was too thin and had no structure.

    If you want to make a really long cord, do you just use two skeins of yarn?

      Yes you can use 2 skeins of yarn.. or use the beginning & end of a yarn skein.
