This is incredibly endearing. Hearing the perception of 2004 from a 2009 child is making my day. You guys remember costumes back in the 90s? We just had twine and cardboard.
What I noticed is that the younger generation doesn’t have the same perspective as I do. I’m only 29, I have been to multiple funerals of family and friends; and can tell that this song hits deferentially for her as it does I. Come to think of it, I can tell that I viewed this song the same way she did when I was a kid. Life it a wild, complex, emotional ride. Enjoy it my friends.
@@OldSkuleNerd should be. I have a recommendation for a song if you would like to hear it. It's called Hospital for Souls by Bring me the Horizon. Specifically there is a fan made music video which is very very impactful. I think you'll love it
IT WAS A KAROLINE REACTION!!!! *screams* It makes me so happy you love this song. While I wasn't a huge MCR fan I adored this song. I heard it over the speakers in a gundam store in Korea and if you don't think I busted out every lyric xD I feel so happy now. Also, we would never hear these ballet terms from your father. I have been educated
this is defo how we teach the new generation...mcr was defo one of my OG bands and im so happy i grew up with good music welcome to the black parade was indeed a great album
It's too funny watching young people commenting things hahaha We can clearly see what really interests her. Not many comments about the music (I'm not hating, or blaming her at all), but all her focus was on fashion and choreography. Too cute! And her comment about humanity not having invented many things by 2004 was the best! Innocence at its peak! She's got a bright future, though. Very well spoken and polite. Wish her all the best.
You can tell that is your kid oh my, the language, the behavior: "Ah whatever, video, antics, yay *Unpause*". Her nerding it out on the Ballet dancer was just like you with the drums. Brilliant.
This is definitely an interesting perspective on this song and video. In contrast, when my son first saw this video (in 2009 at age 7) he had a very sincere reaction. So much so that to this day (now age 20) MCR is his favorite band. At a social level I am not sure that his reaction would have been much different than your daughters' if he had heard (seen) it first at age 13. Kids are funny like that.
lol giving yourself major props for thinking in your head she was going to wake up as the camera panned closer... 😂 why else would they pan closer ? girl. stop it. 🤣
NO LA DEJEN COMENTAR MAS, FALATA DE CONOCIMIENTO Y RESPETO...... NO ENTIENDES LO SIMBOLICO QUE ES EL VIDEO ... EL DOLOR, LAS POSTURAS DE LOS BAILARINES...Y ELLA HELENA QUE ESTA PRESENTE SINTIENDO EL DOLOR DE TODOS. HABLA DE UNA MUERTE REAL.
Hello 🤗 I reeeeeealllly (Ace) like this Song from My Chem Romance. I've become even more enamored with it due to Violet, Lauren, + Halocene cover version!! This Video, like The Black Parade, prob like I'm Not Okay is very artistic and meant to elicit certain emotions and memory, I suppose. I find it so extremely entertaining that the reaction highlight was appreciation for & education about Dance terminology of which I have not the foggiest idea! Another day, I will check out some other songs/ videos on channel that either I know already OR that will brand new.
I love how you needed out to the ballerina, Karoline. Great reaction. I loved this song growing up myself. It is one of the quintessential Emo songs. If you want to hear Gothic music, try the Cure or Bauhaus.
Not even Gothic. I guess you never focus/give much thought about the lyrics of the song that's maybe why you think their choreo is funny, if you ever knew the deeper meaning of the song you'd emphatize and appreciate more the video. This song is about Gerard's grandma who passed away, it's him expresses his pain and anger, while I appreciate your telling us about the ballet stuff, I'm sorry but I'm kinda a little bit disappointed. Or am I being harsh expecting more? Overall I appreciate your honest reaction. Great job young lady Peace......
I would have been 23 and the target demographic in 2004, and I was barely aware of it. Mind you, I was barely on the internet and living in a small town.
Not surprising. The band was huge but not like Linkin Park, inescapable if you are alive at the time, huge, but if you were in high school at the time and liked rock, you at the very least heard of them, huge. Same with Fallout Boy and Paramore. There were much more popular bands of the era, but not many in that subgenre that even come close. MCR had a good 6 year run of better than modest popularity.

Your daughter is incredibly well spoken and educated. You have raised her well! Great video :) I hope to see a duo reaction video with you both
I am very proud of her in all things

11 years doing anything is impressive and gives me confidence in that person's opinion on the topic.
Badass Song
Oh my, I just realised that 2004 is almost 20 years ago...
Noo! Don’t remind me!! 😭 I was 16 in 2004

Damn, I graduated high school in 2004, this girl could be my daughter. yes that was around the time we got out of the 90's. I loved this band.
Happy birthday!!! Mine too bro
2004 was basically getting out of the 90s...killing me smalls!

Jokes on you. They're not rolling on the ground because they're sad. They're just wasted
2004 wasn't that ancient omg 😭
Well that was 5 years before she was born so it might as well be lol
this is defo how we teach the new generation...mcr was defo one of my OG bands and im so happy i grew up with good music
welcome to the black parade was indeed a great album
I could hear the "i cant function without my pumkin spice latte" all throughout 😂😂😂😂😂
Gothic and emo, two entirely different beasts somewhat related, however no one alive when those were in their prime would not know that. Excusable.
MCR FOREVER

This is actually the epitome of emo. You want gothic... Check out Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Sophie, etc...
Came here just to say this. MCR are emo gods, nothing else or less. I literally can't keep watching the video after that opinion
emo???lol
@@winstonrevil8469 yep emo
This is axtually more of a goth/emo/punk fusion. You want pure "emo", go listen to Rites of Spring, Fugazi, or, Embrace.
definitely not emo, at max some emo elements in the early albums
Oh I forgot how much I love this song!
2004 was last week to some of us! 😋
You should check Halocene's version with Dad. 😉 My niece was also born in 2009. 💜

Lol 2009..I’m sorry

Fun detail, the ballerina is the granddaughter of Bum Philips
Should’ve went with Wade Philips lol
The Bloodywood T-shirt, though 🤘
It’s emo not gothic
Gotta reach to "Ghost of you" by MCR, one of the best military (WW2) homage videos out there.
*scratches chin* hrm. Old school eh? Please listen to mick gordon bfg division.
This was an awesome reaction!!!

This is not gothic in any way lol
We’re lucky we’re exposed to good songs in mid 2000 not like nowadays songs 😝
need a reaction to a Dorothy song

What the eff dude? 2 weeks with no Leo?
Every time this video came on MTV back in the day you had to stop what you were doing to watch it because it was just so good.
2004 fashion: skateboarding brand tees and cargo shorts.
My 2022 (and fashion for the last 8-10 years): band or wrestling tees, camo cargo shorts.
I grew up on Avril Lavigne, Greed Day, My Chemical Romance, Hoobastank
Damn karen.
Emo song

I'm 44 and never heard of this song or band
