@@danielbaggett2756 I guess that tri-carb setup was just too finicky for some folks? Because they only offered that for the 1962 model year. The dual-carb setup on my old 1959 100-6 sounded just as good. Many years after briefly owning that 59 model, I found out that the six in my car was only 2600cc!...The Healey 3000 actually was named for the larger, 3 litre engine. It turns out, that my old 59 100-6 was a fairly rare model, worth more than a 3000 now! I guess most of us have had a couple of cars that we wish we had now!
I don't know off the top of my head, but here's a link to the full listing we had for this car. It looks like we sold it before we got a chance to write a completed listing of our own, but you'll find a plethora of photos and a link to an even older listing that may contain the history you're interested in. Good luck! fantasyjunction.com/sold/1962-austin-healey-3000-bn7-mark-ii/overview
Best-sounding exhaust note of all the British sports cars...and also the best styling, short of the XKE!
When the carbs are tuned right it is the best sounding car ever made imho

Dream car
Was this particular BN7 red when purchased pre-resto? Was the plate POJ 959?
