I learned to drive in my dad’s 59’ Healy! Many fond memories of that time with him! A true “sports car “!🏁

    Oh this takes me back.
My first car as an " adult". Rebuilding it was a labor of love. Got busted doing 160 mph on Arizona Hwy I -17 ( Black Canyon Hwy).! Those were the days!
This car sounds more like small block Chevy with a cam.

Might have been nice if we actually got to see the car.

That car definitely has a cam in it. Love the video’s audio: I can hear the transmission as well as the engine. It should find a happy buyer.

Mike says in his other video of this car that it was a race car earlier in its life. Perhaps, this explains why the car pulls hard and is more spirited than you expected. I bought a BT7 which had been a racer in its previous life and I noticed that he drove stronger than it standards for this reason but I have never been able to identify any evidences.

I have owned a BT7. This seems to be a sweet car. I miss my Healey.

Sounds like a straight cut gearbox.

The overdrive is wired direct. That's a good Healey !

We used to use the clutch when engaging and disengaging overdrive, just as if we were shifting. Always thought that method reduced strain on the drivetrain.

the overdrive is instant and not how it is supposed to be. It needs to be adjusted properly.

He also starts out with overdrive on then turns it off when he says its on. (He's backwards)

@@steveheck6085 I was perplexed by his demo of that!...and sorry, but no heater, no buy. He also says that the engine has been rebuilt...but then says he thinks the car has not been restored...I mean, the car has like 20,000 original miles? hmmm.

@@curbozerboomer1773 He states at the first part of the video, this car sounds very different for a healy, then later states as hes driving, this car has that healy sound, also later states, very peppy at 4000 rpm, WELL IT SHOULD BE, your on top of the cam and your running 100 + octane aviation fuel. I wonder what the car looked like ?

@@curbozerboomer1773 No need for heater in 3000 you will roast from the engine and transmission heat chum.
