    Great show guy! I agree with your thoughts. Soto on the Yankees will be a bigger legend as a Yankee than if he was a Met player. Yankees must get Mr. Soto back, get a good first baseman like Christian Walker and Maybe Alex Bregman for third base? And put Jazz at second base. That is Do-able! The only real threat to the Yankee's getting Soto is the Mets! Plus, like you said with Soto Yankees can be in World series for a while hopefully! Go Yankees !

    Hal Steinbrenner must retain Juan Soto. You don't give up a ton of top tier prospects to San Diego in 2023 for Juan Soto as you lose him in Free Agency after the 2024 season!

    • @sonnycorleone2602

      Exactly my friend! Brian Cashman was trying to get Soto since he was on the Nationals!

      Michael King was the only one in that deal worth anything to be fair.

    • @samuelsandate9804
      @samuelsandate9804 4 дня назад

      @@Platerpus7And Michael King is a free agent after next year, so he'll need to get paid. The Yankees can sign another starter if they want more pitching, especially because Stroman can get moved, since he only has 1 year left on his contract. You're right, the rest of the prospects, they're aren't gonna miss.

  • @Bernardo-s9t
    @Bernardo-s9t 4 дня назад +2

    If the Yankees or any team signs Soto I really believe that both the player and team(s) have an opt out option after 5 or 6 years, I mean Soto could be injured or just stink after 5 years and if a player has a guaranteed contract then the teams are stuck paying the player for another 8 or 9 years for nothing. Kind of like Miggy Cabrera's last horrible 7 years in Detroit when he was just a bench warmer getting paid 30+ million a year. All contracts should be yearly Performance/production Based!

    • @Platerpus7
      @Platerpus7 4 дня назад

      He’s 100% opting out by 30 that’s why the length of contract shouldn’t scare teams

    • @Bernardo-s9t
      @Bernardo-s9t 4 дня назад +1

      @Platerpus7 True dat, but as I said I want teams to be able to dump these bad contracts and another example is Nolan Arenado, still great glove but the last 2 full seasons at the plate are very underwhelming and the Cards are trying to unload him but he has a no trade clause. We'll see what happens. 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

    if we lose Soto short term the next 3-4 years we can be as good if not better...Dominguez will out perform Verdugo ..hey a low bar there!...first base was a complete zero we will be better there, Jazz for a full season...add two big bats Santander .235 44hrs 102rbis Adames .251 32hrs 112 rbis..our infield defense will be better....use that 15 mil that literally fell from the sky from the Rays and get Walker for first base....they will have to add a few mil maybe and some luxury tax..hey move Grisholm and Trevino a .190 hitter and a .212 hitter there is your 8mil 15=8...can we move part of Stromans 18 mil..if not go get a top bullpen guy they trade for and eat the salary till Stroman goes away next year and DJL the following year..THESE ARE THE YANKEES LETS ACT LIKE IT!!!!! WE CAN AFFORD ALL OF THIS...

    I’ve heard the same thing for too many years to get excited about a great meeting! With Brian do nothing Cashman as the GM chances are they won’t get Soto or anyone else of value they’ll run it back again with the same trash they always sign, old aging unathletic veterans who can’t do anything except hit the occasional home run! I fully expect them to lose Soto resign Rizzo and some other dinosaurs to fill in the roster!

    • @Platerpus7
      @Platerpus7 4 дня назад +1

      They aren’t resigning Rizzo they just paid him a few million to go away.
      The Soto deal has nothing to do with Cashman that’s all Hal.

      @@Platerpus7my point is don’t get too excited about the Yankees making splashes this off season if you do you’re only fooling yourself they never get anyone who adds value haven’t you been paying attention? Don’t be so sure they don’t resign Rizzo again just because they declined his option doesn’t mean they can’t still resign him for less money.

  • @chetperrone945
    @chetperrone945 4 дня назад +2

    I hate to bust your bubble that meeting did not go as well as you think it did. The chances of the Yankees retaining him are about 50/50 Hal will not open a blank check for Soto. I love Soto, but if it’s all about the money and we may lose him. And he will have no legacy. The Yankees need to start signing big-time players so he sees what’s going on and wants to be a part of it. & We shall see if he will have his final answer during the winter meetings or before so Yankee fans 🤞 cross those fingers and pray🙏✝️🙏 or we could take the money $650 million spend it on a closer name Scott starting Ace & take your pic of the litter & add a first baseman or by trades with Bellinger and a power left fielder & Dominguez in center and judge in right and get the rest of the bullpen and you still have money left over either way we become winners if Hal does the right thing!🙏✝️

      Here are your options resign Soto and remain a WS contender or leave it in the hands of Brian Cashman to build a roster if they don’t get Soto, Cashman is not going to go after the next best free agents he is going to start combing through the yellow pages looking for the cheapest oldest veterans he can find, trust me on this when someone shows you who they are believe them Cashman doesn’t know what he is doing he tries to be the smartest person in the room and it always blows up in his face!! Just look at his roster last year their OPS+ was as bad as the White Sox if you took away Judge and Soto!
