The Black Perl has a real hull and a diesel engine so it can actually go from place to place under power. The other ships used in the movie were mounted on barges and had to be towed into place.
But can it actually sail? I'm guessing not, as it probably doesn't have the proper keel and fake rigging, but it would be neat if it was a legit tall ship.
