Shanghai looks like such a fun city! We only spent six days in Beijing recently, but we're already planning a return trip to China, and Shanghai is on our list. Thanks for sharing your first impressions with us. We just subscribed. 😊
@@WaleandMe I have seen your video of transiting through Beijing. If you go to Shanghai, I highly recommend you to visit Zhujiajiao a thousand-years old water town in Shanghai. You can book a DD or take the subway Line 17 (about an hour), I believe you will not be disappointed. Also suggest read some city informations before visit due to the cities in China all different in style and cuisine.

Due to China is so large, every city has different style & cuisine , better read some local informations before visiting. Having fun!
Oh btw, now you can have 30 days visa free to visit China as Spanish. 😂😂 and another little tip is the tickets back to Spain is from Beijing, the Etihad airways offers the cheapest price, like 300 Euros for a round trip between Beijing and Spain.
I totally agree with you, the temples look amazing and the food. . Yummy 🤤. It looks amazing, such a different culture, but that's the amazing part of experiencing it. 👌❤️
So cool to see China through your eyes and feelings. Love it! Me encanta todo lo que han hecho. Trabajar en su terreno y viajar por el mundo. Thank you, ¡Gracias!
oh how cool, that you traveled to China! wish you a good time there 🥰 I am very impressed that ther it is so clean altough so many ppl living there, and wow ,very nice the chinese street theatre 😍
Excited to see the next leg of your trip! Speaking of "rural China", Li Zi Qi has recently returned to publishing videos. I'm sure you've seen her channel. That's the China I also want to see. Anyway, good luck on the journey and I do hope you can visit the Philippines someday. ❤
I'm really excited for you guys to get out of the city and into the smaller country towns. I'm sure you'll be finding really interesting places and people so looking forward to your next video. Have a wonderful week exploring and relaxing.❤️
If you are temple people or ancient Chinese building enthusiasts, HangZhou, Suzhou and Nanjing, which are all very near to ShangHai, are excellent traveling destinations for you.
ow what a beautiful vlog. shanghi has some stunnng old buildings, so beautiful to see. the wait for the sunset was well worth it, it must have been even more beautiful to have been there and see it in its full glory. i get the temples being so peaceful. i cant say im a religious person but there is something calming and peaceful about being inside a church you feel. hope you have a lovely time
Totally agree with you that churches and other religious places tend to feel very peaceful. We always try to sit for a bit whenever we go to soak it up. And I’m so glad you enjoyed the vlog. We’re happy to see that the people that watched us and supported living in the mountains still like the videos in a different environment ♥️
I am glad that you felt comfortable traveling in my hometown of Shanghai. As a Chinese, I would say that we Chinese are very much aware of the reality that we live in, that China, like the rest of the world in a sense, is not as beautiful as outsiders think it is, but we keep the balance of yin and yang very well through the knowledge left by our forefathers and sages.
All the hard work you put in over the last weeks has been so much. You have more than earned your break. Shang Hi looks beautiful. Like you, we always want to see the real parts of any country we visit, not the areas that have been 'produced' to encourage tourists. Have a wonderful time, and thank you for allowing us along with you to see a country we otherwise would not xx
Thank you for sharing! I used to travel alone with no plans, and it was very exciting! Now I'm to sick from fibromyalgia to travel, so it's lovely to get to experience china through your video 🥰
Oh I’m so sorry you have fibromyalgia. But glad you enjoyed experiencing China through our video. There’s so much more to come! Sending you lots of love ♥️
It's nice that you're seeking out experiences I would seek out too, e.g. temples, people watching, budget friendliness, experiencing / observing the everyday life of its citizens, some rural experiences, etc. I look forward to your other China videos. Thank you for posting! 🕊
You can go to Suzhou, Changzhou, or remote Shanghai with one hour bullet train or metro to checkout several water towns in this region as "Chinese Venice".
I have some advice for you. If you like beautiful scenery or the unrestrained rural life of nature, I suggest you go to the western region, which is the most beautiful place in China. For example, Sichuan Province, Yunnan Province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Xizang. (At present, foreigners in Xizang are not allowed to travel freely, they must follow a group, the places to play are limited, and the cost is not low.) Other provinces can travel freely. First of all, I recommend visiting Sichuan Province and arriving in Chengdu, which is also the capital of world cuisine. It is also the hometown of giant pandas, and then you can choose to go to such places as Siguniang Mountain, Seda Buddhist College, Yading Daocheng Scenic Spot, Lugu Lake at the junction of Yunnan and Sichuan, and Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area Huanglong Scenic Spot, a world double heritage, where there are grasslands, lakes, snow mountains, and forests. There are also Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri La in Yunnan Province. Enough for you to watch and play.
You should go to ancient Chinese cities like Dali and Kunming in South West China. You should also go to Guilin, Yangshuo, Zhangjiajie, Jiuzhaigo. These are scenic areas. If you like temples, you should go to Tibet. There are lots of monasteries. However, it's mandatory to engage a tour guide here. Following "Little Chinese Everywhere", a Chinese RUclipsr. She brings you to unknown small Chinese villages.
lol, "the bed is too hard" is so true. This is just another example of "drinking hot water" and "squat toilet". Chinese people believe a hard bed is good for the spine.
If you are just vegetarians and not for any religious reason, any restaurant you can just use your translator and tell them that you are vegetarian, any restaurant in China can do vegetarian food, because China has a large percentage of Buddhists and Taoists, many of them just eat vegetarian vegetables, and China has a wide variety of vegetables, vegetables are cheaper and easier to make than meat, You don't have to worry about that. Have a good trip!😊
I’m so excited to watch this video! I’m NOT a camera expert, very far from it, so personally, I can’t tell the difference when people use a professional camera, or just their IPhone 😬. I would just use the one that’s easiest to use 😁🧡
If you are lost in your planning you can watch videos their videos and that are a couple from UK who has been in China for quite awhile now. 'sun kissed bucket list'
Yunnan province is best destination for you that Dali is so important destination includes budget is very low cost and lot of vegetarian restaurants and Kunming is best secondary destination too!
We’ve realised that after researching a bit more. So we’ve decided to reserve it for our return, because we already know we’re coming back for a whole other month 👏😊
Zhang Jia Jie in Hunan province, Jiu Zhai Gou in Sichuan province, Gui Lin in Guangxi province and Dali, Lijiang in Yunnan Province would be good places to go if you enjoy natural scenery.
if you are vegetarians / vegans just have this in Chinese on your phone saved so you can show to food vendors or waiters or waitresses so they can let you know.
yunnan province is also great for countryside, zhangjiajie is home to avatar mountains 😊😊. If you are in hunan and changsha then you can try stinky tofu.
@WaleandMe trust me it will be a long list 😂😂. There is another Spanish speaking couple vlogger that spent 45 days in China and they plan to explore more in 2026 😂😂
Welcome to China. I think Hangzhou is more Chinese, more traditional, more natural and more green. You will like it better. It's very close to Shanghai and it's only an hour and a half away by high-speed train.
Hi.....nice to see some one vlogging who is from Spain. Would you be able to subtitle your postings in Spanish. I read recently a report done by a EU entity that Spain is the EU country that dislike China most because many people still do not have a sufficient level of English to read what is really happening out there so are still 'prejudiced' by the limited bits that they read in the West. As you will see for yourselves , China is totally different from a lot of what is written in the West. Have a great time there - slow and easy. Just subscribed and liked.
Buddhist is not official religion but you can see Buddhist is the most prominent influence. People were chanting Buddhist on funeral or pray to Bodhisatva for good luck.
Go find The 3 graces on waterfront... They copied Liverpool waterfront buildings... The Liverpool building, the cunnard building and the port of Liverpool building.
Sorry you being con. To me i have seen many travellers in central of Shanghai with good facilities and clean at US 60dollars. But i don't know where? I watch in RUclips.😊
In this month, there is a sudden surge of utubers going to China. Is RUclips just pushing more such videos to me, or there is a real surge of utubers going to china. Anywhy, hope to see more utubers recording the real China.
yeah there's inequality, there's those with high pressure jobs earning millions a year, and then there's those that only earn 8 USD a day but sleep well at night lol
We’re just trying to share our life as it is, the good, the bad and the stressful. But the reality was actually much more difficult than we portrayed. So we’re really happy to be away for a bit travelling. Hope you enjoy these videos more 🙃
FYI The city lights are run mostly on renewable energy such as hydroelectric dams and wind turbines etc! China invested the world’s highest amount of renewable energy in the world!
