This song really shows Frank's value to the band.
Absolutely, on the album the way the song starts the lyrics sound as if he’s angry then towards the end of the song Delgado’s mixes makes him sound more hurt and heart broken but keeping the same lyrics and vocal pace.
@@bigthetruth2995 Yeah, I recently watched Rick Beato's vid on Minerva and turns out it's actually Frank's keys that absolutely make the main riff. Never paid enough attention to hear it properly.
They should totally put the self-titled songs on their setlist. Their live is sick

Seriously. Really though from 3:30 onwards is epic Chino screams. Its amazing he can still sing on that level these days.

This performance makes me smile. You can tell Chino is proud of the way he performed on that one. They all performed great. Though this isn't my favorite song of the Deftones, how can I not like the enthusiasm on this?
I love the live version. You hear Frank's keys way more and it adds this dope sound to it. Sad they didn't play it last night in London but it was still fucking amazing! They played Teething!

I was supposed to see them in early august, hadn’t bought the tickets yet though. I was so excited, then this stupid virus came about, the one which I currently have. Since I never bought the tickets I might not get to go see them on the reschedule date, if that ever happens, because everybody who bought them is getting either a refund or just going to wait till the next tour I guess. Still not even sure if I can get tickets to that one, I doubt it. Still kind of bummed about it

This song is the best Deftones song. How ever much i may say i like another song at one time, i always end up coming back to this song. Its just so unsettling. It doesnt fit with any other Deftones song. On S/T, it sounds like thematically its all going pretty smooth, then you get to this song, and the shit hits the fan.
Whenever I watch this video ( a lot ) at the end when Chino says "Thank you!" I always say, " no.....thank you!" Deftones! 🤘

Great fucking video! I love each and every one of the members of this band...even the new bassist. They look like they're just having a blast and they're all beasts at what they do. Deftones are like fine wine, they just get better with time. There's this fresh energy about them.

Notice at 1:18, you can hear some completely new effects at the end of the effects we usually hear in all the live videos. Its almost like theyre adding more and mor to this song through live performances. They sound fucking awesome. I cant wait to see this live one day.

I was at a deftones show in NY a few weeks back at a real small venue and I moshed the whole time...in retrospect I think I could have soaked the whole experience up a little more if I just watched...my god I was 20 feet away from the band the whole time.
Who fucking got hype af when the screams at the end came!!!!!! That shit went so fkn hard. I had to throw my hands up. Did the CD justice! ✊🏽

@josh11293 it does, you just have to listen very closely because it's very low in the mix. It was actually a pretty smart decision, because even if you don't consciously hear it, it changes the voicing of the chords just enough to resonate your skeleton with that extra little bit of emotion. If you want to hear a studio version of it at this volume, there is one up on youtube if you just search the name of the song. Gotta love those creepily dedicated fans with too much time on their hands!
