Also in the novel it is implied he suddenly puts the sunglasses on so she wouldn't see him tear up when he told her the news. I think i's a nice touch, people say how cold blooded he is, especially in the novels, but he had some heart, especially if he took particularly to a woman.
It is not implied anywhere in the novel that he put on his sunglasses when he told her about the death of her brother. It is only stated that he sat with his arms round his knees and looked out to the sea to avoid her eyes.
He wasn't an emotionless killer and did have a human side. Remember, in OHMSS he's genuinely upset when Tracey is killed and decides to track down Blofeld in DAF and finally killing him in FYEO.

If you listen to Ursula Andress’s voice as Honey Ryder in Dr No, and Claudine’s as Domino, you will hear it’s the same voice, Ursula’s voice was also dubbed. The voice belongs to Nikki Van der Zyl, who dubbed the voices for many Bond girls/other actresses in the Bond films, spanning from 1962 to 1979. Sadly, she recently passed away on 6 March 2021. RIP Sean, Claudine and Nikki.
