The San Francisco Bay Area duo recorded an R&B version of this song for the soundtrack to the Jon Lovitz movie High School High. It was produced by Third Eye Blind's lead singer Stephan Jenkins with Bob Coleman and was also released as a single in the fall of 1996. It peaked #21 in UK and #42 on the Billboard Hot 100, while staying on the charts for 17 weeks.

This is one of those songs that is completely underrated and how good this version was, I used to play it over and over again, and here I am still listening to it in 2022.

I've been looking for this version for almost 30yrs now. I remember this from my Dad's cassette collection as early as 10yrs of age and loved it to date. The moment I heard the Intro instrumentals I was like YES, that's the version I've been looking for all this while. I discovered the original during the process of searching for this one which I love as well but this cover is epic. I'm soo happy to have found it FINALLY. It hits differently.

I just heard this track on Bohemian Rhapsody the movie, memories when I was 9 years old, hunted it in record stores for years. You don't get good music like this nowadays, this was true art.

This song is hot!!! These two females are amazing vocalists, they have A class voices! Why didn't they become famous?
"Chosentenore" its another sad case of everything that can go wrong with a new group. One of the guys from 'third eye blind' was their manager. Being new to the game he was quite green and did not know what he was doing. Then while he started producing ,his group third eye blind went on a three year tour. In the music industry three years is almost a lifetime, so they had a young manager gone for three years while they are waiting. When he comes back he quickly "finishes the record which other than this song got no traction as his production was B grade or worse. They are only maybe 3 songs on the album that is half way decent in a album with covers and blah songs. He did them dirty, he should of handed them over to his record label to someone that had the time. They faded, and unfortunately that was their shot.

I remember when this song came out it hit me really hard in the feels. I had no idea it was a cover, (even though I'd heard Bohemian Rhapsody before but didn't put two and two together.) I was about 15 and that age you really connect to the music you listen to, every word, and I could feel the desperation. Great song.

This was one of my mother's songs, she bought a CD that had several different versions of this exact song, she played it so often on car rides & when she feels like listening to music at home, I knew the words of by heart & I didn't even like it, she passed away when I was 16 (2012) & fast forward to the present day, it fills my mind with pleasant memories, considering how much she loved it & the fact that it's a masterpiece on it's own, literally bought me to tears... I listen to it time to time, it has a really good calming effect on me
