@@Qualitymobilevideo hello I’ve been stressing what to get , do you reccomed this headunit in a wireless version or the Jensen CAR710W 7” in a wireless version? Please help
Walmart currently has this same exact unit but with the W as Dual DCPA701"W". W = Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Last month it went on sale for $189.99 and I got that. I expect this to be on sale again in the near future if you're looking to save $, can wait AND want loaded features as well. Regular price is $350 I think
They have it here in Michigan at my local Walmart for $149… I was thinking about it but I’ve only ever owned ONE dual back in 05-06 single din.. it wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the best. Also since you have it the question I’m wondering is can you change the wallpaper background?
@@detroitrugcompany5972 I don't think so based off of feedback from other source. I don't have it installed yet to be honest and I wish I could keep it but my situation has changed so regrettably I have to return this unit. Im 100% confident that this unit serves well as designed or else I wouldn't have bought it. You got it for cheaper than mine which is already a steal to keep. Cheap functional AA/AC unit deal for less than $200 is rare nowadays due to the stupid semiconductor chip shortage. If I'm you, I'll keep it esp for the price but the choice is yours.
The headunit makes Android auto display in right hand drive orientation there is no setting that lets you change it even the radio region setting doesn't change it.
if you are using a mac to download the zip file and then transferring it from there to the usb drive before connecting it to your car usb slot you might not need winRAR to unzip the folder .zip files. so try skipping that part and proceeding onto the next part of the step you're on.
Is it too much to ask at this point to get fm rds... these fm modes on Android units look so crappy. Like the same as a 40 dollar ebay Hu. I have a alpine android auto double din and it sucks too. 300 bucks and no customization and ugly fm radio with no track info. Step up your game radio companies
Does anybody make a radio with more than standard 18-20 watts RMS? If someone made a 40w RMS head unit it would be so much easier to put a decent system together!
Can you please explain how backup camera needs to be wired to this deck specifically? I want the camera to turn on when I go into reverse automatically, but I also want to be able to turn the camera on whenever I want. If that’s not possible i want to be able to turn camera on when I want/need. Thanks!
You will wire the camera to the camera input and connect the power wire of the camera to accessory and then wire the back up wire to the reverse input on the headunit.
Seen something maybe a week ago where Android Auto was being phased out. Any info on what will happen if you have a unit that uses that? Or what will replace it
@@DayV914 Not really, some cars come with 2ohms speakers and some comes with 4 ohms. My Ford vehicles came stock with 4 ohms. My Nissan vehicles had 2 ohms. 8ohms are for home audio, not car audio.

Just bought this head unit for my service truck and it works fantastic. Decent unit for the price.
They really aren't bad for the money.

awesome video.
Very very informative vid on this unit. Thank you sir!!
Glad it was helpful!
It's Sunday now and its still booting. BT is juuuust about to pair.

In your opinion can you tell me what’s the best 7inch on the market
I'd live to know this too, I wanna replace my frontier stereo but don't want it to look off lol
Have the W version of this but the update process listed on the website doesn't work, cannot really get the headunit to update

It would be great to see a review of the Alpine iLX-407 from you
Wish we could, we aren’t an Alpine dealer.

Yes, Sony. 35-45 watts per channel.
@@Qualitymobilevideo do you know which specific models? Looking for something double din with Android auto. Love your guys videos!
@@Qualitymobilevideo Found it! The AX7000. Ordering. Too bad the crap to swap an F150 costs just as much as the radio🤣
This one is a winner because of those physical buttons.
Not quite as cool as a knob.
I've got touch controls that I hate.

How does this compare to the DMCPA70?
They are nearly the same.

The Boss...
Shame a $200 unit can have 5 icons per row in CarPlay. But my Pioneer AVH-2550NEC doesn’t.

Android Auto will only be "phased out" on people's phones with Android 12 or higher and only on the phone screens, it will still work on car screens.
how do you put this in your car tho
We have tons of installation videos!
i bought this unit, and i see it’s rated at 16 w x 4 ohm, but my door speakers are 20 w x 2 ohm, how can i wire it?
Door speakers are rarely 2ohm I think you might be miss informed. Door speakers are usually 8ohm or 4ohm.

Como puedo ver videos en CarPlay? 🥲Ayuda!!!
No puede! No videos en Carplay.

Si se puede pero necesitas un adaptador.
