- Complete coverage of CrossFit Event 9, "The Cleanup," from the 2023 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas (Sunday, October 29). This includes the Women's division at 2:00 and the Men's division at 43:00.
Moved indoors due to the weather, The Cleanup nonetheless offering up a storybook ending as the final workout of the 2023 Rogue Invitational. Arguably the most anticipated part of this year's competition was the return of the friendly rivalry between 3x Invitational champ Tia Toomey-Orr and 2022 champ Laura Horvath. To say that match-up didn't disappoint would be an understatement, as the two phenomenal athletes entered Event 9 in a dead heat, tied at 680 points overall atop the leaderboard. It would come down to a battle of double-ups and cleans, an endurance test after a long weekend, to determine a winner. Meanwhile, while Pat Vellner seemed to have his first Invitational title in hand, reigning "Fittest Man on Earth" Jeff Adler was ready to make one last run at his fellow Canadian.

Thank you Rogue for doing what CrossFit fails to do: deliver a good competition with fun, but not absurd, workouts, and good coverage that made the competition easy to watch and consume. I've always said the CF games are the most poorly organized and executed sporting event, but I'm glad we can count on Rogue to put in the effort
Indoors has that “box feel”
6 months postpartum and pushed Laura to the end!
Very cool they were right in the fans space. Great pivot Rogue, well done. Congratulations to Laura defending her title. 👏
Congrats to Laura!! Tia, I am amazed by your super woman abilities 5 months postpartum! Can’t wait for the games, it’s gonna be a nail biter😁
It’s blowing my mind Tia accomplished this at just 6 months postpartum. Anyone who’s had a baby knows how incredible this is. Can’t wait to see her at the 2024 games!
Yes!🇦🇺🐨👑
As always, Rogue did an amazing job.
Happy for Pat, solid athlete.
I absolutely love these women, they are SUCH an inspiration. And my mind is blown by what Tia accomplished having carried a baby for 9 whole months and then only being 6 months postpartum. To be able to compete at this caliber and place where she did after her training took a back seat to growing a whole human and recovering from birth and all the rigors of new motherhood is just insane. Hats off!
Tia will use this to train to get herself to a level never before seen!🔥🏋🏼♀️
Awesome !
If tia gets her crown back after childbirth, ain’t no one gonna ever compare to her reign! Long live the queen!
Annie competed in the postpartum Games and no one questioned her podium. The crown must be passed! Tia is a great competitor, but room must be made for others! Laura was better conditioned, yes! She worked hard to win and after all, everyone there wants to win. People keep saying things where there is no rivalry. Peace and good! See you at the next Rogue Invitational and Crossfit Games 2024!
Yeahh we all know that but we just not interested of Laura. Her vibes ughhh so 👎👎
Women @ 3:56
Men @ 45:47
Clark not getting no-repped on his cleans is absolutely why CrossFit is losing people.
Brutal !!!!
Laura even you won, Tía had a baby only 5 months ago and you defeat her just for that
Tia’s still the queen 👑
give tia a break she just had a kid shes the greatest
Tia messing up on the logs/bags and not making the next round really cost her.
I feel tension between Tia and Laura....
Yes, Horvath won...but lets not forget Tia just had a baby 5 months ago...either way it was an awesome event and I think this was the first time I was more excited about the woman's side of things
When were the Rogue Record Breakers held and will they be uploaded? I thought that was usually a Sunday event for the strongmen? No individual video was uploaded, nor did I see it in any of the full day livestreams from Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
final event should always be like this
Can Rogue run the games this year? Y'all are doing hell of a job compared to the CrossFit team...
Ez hatalmas és megérdemelt siker Laura!
Laura is looking strong and tia has some work to do but if anyone can take back her crown it's her
Question: why do you commenters feel you have to literally give away what’s happened in your comments? It’s like telling everyone what’s happened in a film before someone has watched it. Get some friends, discuss it with them. We don’t want to know before we have watched it. Some of us have a life and cant watch it immediately 🤯
Did the weights change? Event says 155 but I think 165 is loaded on the bar, but I also cannot gym math 😂
That good ol’ Canadian PB&J
What’s the spelling for marcio s channel?
Why do the men’s bars have 5 lb plates?
The women were also using the money bar, I wonder if they were 35lb bars. Hmm
Dani has no problem getting below parallel here. Wonder what the excuse is.
Are the Women Drug tested?
I think she has no chance against Toomey next year
Her comment at the end was inadequate...
@@nadiamoulay3861 What will your excuses be when Toomey is destroyed yet again?
@@danielsparks1848I mean you realize Tia is like 6 months removed from having a baby. You give her a couple more months and I do not believe it will be close. She still did amazing but Tia is at another level when at 100%
@@danielsparks1848but again both are amazing athletes
@@danielsparks1848 it is not the point. The comment was unprofessional. Simple as that.
TRENBOLONE+EPO
Kolenbrander's power cleans are trash
What is every single athlete sponsored by TYR now? every couple of years, another company comes along and monopolizes the field. Its hysterical to watch. TYR's gear is ugly as sin.
And expensive! Rather buy Nike gear at that price.
So nice to see Laura win and not seeing Tia there. WOO HOOO!!!! Go europe!
Sucks for Laura to know that she only won the games because the GOAT just had a baby. Imagine working hard all year but almost being beat by someone who took a break, made an entire human, and is 5 months postpartum. 😂
@@teinetoa0416both would literally sh*t on you. Incredibly disrespectful - to both Tia and Laura.
How does such an elite athlete still squat like an amateur?? Tia should take advantage of post-partum recovery to work on basic fundamentals.
Lollllllll you don't think she's moving in the most efficient and productive manner for her physiology?
There's a reason you're not an elite level coach. And it's, namely, assessments like this.
no theres obvious weaknesses in her movement pattern under these loads. ask her to do a normal squat with moderate weight, she doesnt squat like that.@@janpicksthingsup
She’s an Olympic weightlifter 😂
