  • I mow and bag 6 properties and decided to upgrade my air filters. As most of us know dirt and grit getting by the small air filters eat up the valves and cylinder walls shortening the engines life. These engines are not cheap to replace ($1200 - $2500) so investing in good filtration is a good idea. Another good point to the commercial air filter is getting cooler air from the very top of the motor. Another good reason I upgraded was that I have 2 commercial mowers that use the same Kawasaki type filters and I can buy them in bulk for $12 a set on ebay!!!

Hey brother. What parts or assembly did you order, for the conversion? I have a Hustler raptor with the kt740 25hp and I want to upgrade the air filter housing like you did. Thanks for any help you can provide 🤙

Ebay search for Kohler commercial air filter. Would look good on a raptor!

@@fivepointeightnate Awesome ‼️ Thank you very much ‼️ If you remember the seller and don't mind sharing their info, I will really appreciate it ‼️ 👍
Also; my kt740 has a round carburetor inlet. Does your 725 have the same? If not; would you please post a video or picture of the mods you had to make? Again, thank you for your time ‼️🤙

@@MrCclimeGo I just searched for "Kohler commercial filter" and it came up on ebay. There were no modifications on my Bad Boy or Troy Built Mustang mowers. It's a bolt on deal, 2x 10mm nuts on the carb and 3x plastic tapping screws on top of the filter box. Takes about 30mins to remove and install. You have a pretty cool mower, I would love to have a flip up deck like that!

@@fivepointeightnate Thanks Man ‼️ Yeah, I love that thing. It's so much easier to sharpen the blades and it was a snap to change the spindles. Everything to do with deck maintenance is way better. I just keep my 🤞🏼that nothing ever happens to the actuator/cylinder, that I can't fix. Those things are about $1100🤦‍♂️
