Nice result! I'm not surprised you had issues finding the correct colour scheme, apparently Greyhound themselves used 3 or 4 different liveries on the Scenicruiser during the 20 years they ran them in service. As for red versions I believe they might have been really late manufacture toys after Greyhound sold a bunch of the real ones to Trailways in the 70's.
Nice. I have one. Yours is in better shape than mine. Mine also has no axles. Just molded pins for the wheels. Do not know if mine is newer or older than yours. Nice job.
Probaby, but the thought makes me nervous. I would have little control and it would eat away some of the body. Also, making sure all of the inside was neutralized would be tough.
I've got one of these that a friend of my grandmother gave me about 25 years ago (along with a W. German "Marklin" VW Beetle) . Mine still has about 75% of the paint, so I'm going to leave it alone. The axle attachment on mine is different though as they're not exposed on the bottom like yours. Same bus, different production run maybe?
I love how this turned out. Nice work!
Fantastic result you can’t be prefect on old die cast like this
Man that greyhound bus was in a rough shape! Nice restoration! I enjoyed watching and subscribed!
Great project, well done.
Let them criticize.....its yours to do as you want. Looks good. Nice job.
Very nice job.
I think you did a fantastic job!!!
Looks good. I have one of those. You pick a lot of the same vehicles I love. Good job.
Next time try soaking the wheels in very hot water then pry them off the axle.
Wow great job mate.👍🚍
Very nice. I have one but I don't think I could make it look as good as yours
Beautiful restoration.

Sharp!! Well detailed for a Tootsietoy...
Beautiful. I’m surprised you didn’t color the the bottom and the lettering in chrome
Almost reminds me of the Old Matchbox Version only bigger.
That's what I thought this was at first...

Do you think that dunking the whole bus in Lime Out would have dissolved a lot of that corrosion?
