Fantastic video! I was hooked by the intro. I am studying for my level one som certification so this content is extremely helpful. Thanks so much! - Texas wine enthusiast/mom
Good luck with your exam and studies! I got my level one and two from WSET while filming this series so I have a glimpse of the work you’re putting in right now. Thanks for the comment I’m glad the video was helpful!
I used to have a case of 2000 cantemerle and they were fantastic. The own problem is that the quality dropped after 2015. It seems like this wine can't be stored for too long
Nothing wrong with cru bourgeois in my opinion. Its still a reputable classification, and good values can be found there. The classification system of 1855 on the left bank has changed one chateau's classification once since then so how much does that really reflect what is good in the 2020s? Most ARE still good to excellent, that's only 1% of the chateau in Bordeaux. Many more are worth trying. In the end - try new wines, trust your palate and drink what you like!
LOL. I hear you. But my point wasn't that Harrison was bad. The lesser known varietals of Bordeaux are among some of my favorites in the blends and as standalones. They simply don't have the street cred of Cabernet or Merlot - justified or not.
Excellent videos. You should have at least 100K subs 👍

loved it, keep it up
Thanks, will do!
Loving these videos mate. What was the price on the left bank wine?
Chateau Cantemerle - around $40-50.
What’s your take on cru bourgeois? Is it the gateway to quality Bordeaux or marketing BS?

Comparing Bordeaux to the Beatle is kinda lame TBH
