Well, Devil is cheaper and has more raw power but he doesn't pair well with a lot of characters since he has poor tag combos. But yeah, him and Jin are very very very VERY CLOSE in my book
I actually really liked playing Angel in Tag 1. Its all the same BS as playing Devil, but she plays a lot nicer with the Netsu system. Nearly everyone doesn't like having Devil as a tag partner, but they're chill with the most holy haha 😂
@@Zakillah So I actually booted up hybrid to double check this. Both Angel and Devil can backdash once, and then 3 d/f+1's can connect in sequence after pushback. The two extension would whiff for both of them fairly regularly on the third d/f+1. Devils felt slightly less likely to whiff, but it still whiffed often enough for me to call it uncomfortable. The only situation where I felt even a little difference between the two was d/f+2 into d/f+1,2 where Devil felt a tiny it easier to do, but I tried it with Angel first, so it may well have just been that I was a little more warmed up. d/f+2 into EWGF felt pretty smooth with both of them. Both were liable to whiff a f+1 after a ws4, unless it was landed extremely shallow. They could both link a f+1 after a d/f+1 landed at point blank range. Devil's felt a tiny bit more consistent. Both would whiff a standalone 1 jab after a D/f+1 or WS4 on hit, they needed the f input. I would have loved to test EWGF, but my PS3 controller is a wreck at this point, the D-pad was not playing nice with crouch dash motion's. If there is a difference, its fractional. And its balanced out by Angels legs being slightly longer, her D+4 looked like it was hitting at further ranges, as was F+4. But when I say further ranges on these moves we're talking like 0.1 further, and inconsistently so for both of them. Take it for the 15 minutes of testing that it was, but from what I can see, calling the range difference significant seems like a exaggeration. But maybe Angel misses out on some specific pressure situations or combo options, idk. Devils certainly a fair bit taller than her holiness is in Tag 1, the opponent seemed much higher in the air during his combos. Whether that makes up for the fact that Devil literally never gets rage from his partner getting slapped around, I'm not sure. Depends how much you value it as a comeback mechanic.
@@nebby9751 I cant really test now, but I played the shit out of this game and no one played Angel. Search for old tournament/Korean vids. Plenty of Devils, no Angels. Yes, the range was significantly different, otherwise ppl would obviously have played Angel, seeing her WGF was safer, too. But no one did. Why?
Its actually kazuya's animation in tekken 8 too, same animation or it even seems attack. Its 1,1,2f (devil break) of kazuya in tekken 8, same animation of last hit of attack . I just realised now
I wish devil kazuya looked more like this in tekken 8 i even miss the demonic voice devil kazuya does i was sad they didnt bring that and more of the devil look back even the tail would have been dope
I used to complain about this but he actually does have a warped voice when he is in devil form, it isn't as deep as in T2/TTT1 but it's definitely there. I really wish his eyes and chest scar would glow red again, he's just been raisin Kazuya for a while now
I can't remember name but one person on youtube made exactly opposite review video of this character calling him worst ever character. Is he really good or worse??
It's so funny considering that he is more or less a worse Kazuya in Tekken 2. I guess the devs felt like they needed to redeem him for this game but might have overtuned it a bit.
I think Twin Pistons was a 10 frame move in this game, because it wasn't silly enough that it was a safe, mid launcher with great range. Pretty sure Heihachi actually has the lowest health in the game which doesn't make any goddamn sense from a lore perspective.
Standing block WGF is -10. Devils was the unsavest one because it had the least pushback on block. Still, not many characters have good 10 frame punishiers in this game; but Ogre could 2,2 it every time. TPs didnt launch "heavy" characters like both Ogres, all Jacks and Ganryu.
Still can’t believe for ps2 launch title how graphically impressive this game looked at the time compared to TT1 arcade version! This game ,D O A 2 and SFEX3 were the 1st games I bought for ps2 in 2000 OH HAPPY DAYS👍
When the boss is still overpowered after joining your party.
Not Vergil level (who is actually stronger than boss)
Star wars bf2 had this
Themainmanswe: matches featuring Devil were just "Df1, df1, twin pistons, twin pistons, hellsweep"
“Tween pestsawnn, tween pestaawnn, hellschweep, hellschweep”
@@xDivorex "Yeah, not a lot of fun watching Devil matches."
People always said jin was the best but i always felt like it was devil. The fucker doesnt die

@@crack4184 i can agree with that.
long range twin piston launcher that’s -6 on block is comically broken
This launcher is so hilarious because Kazuya's has the same framedata but not that range in a million year
And Kazuya’s is a while standing launcher while Devil’s is just a standard df1 string.
He didn't say his twin pistons is 13 frames
@@CobraKaiLidia it might be i12 normal hit launcher in this game, cant remember. Either way its comically broken for the range and push back on block
I believe Kazuya's 12 frames but not Devil's.

Angel has significantly worse range on key moves like WGF, TPs and 112

If we pretend Tekken 1 and 2 don’t exist then yes, this might just be the most braindead character in the series.
haha yes
Tekken 1 King and Armor King: "You rang?"
Tekken 1 Heihachi is pretty Unga Bunga too.
@@bigbangbot-SuperSqank (shudders)
Tekken 2 Kazuya and Bruce were pretty scary, too.
Absolutely.
Don't forget, tag 1 had stamina values (where characters had different health values) and devil also had the highest health
Can you make more Miguel highlights please. Your Miguel is freaking awesome and I learn so much from you.

this video is basically themainmanswes one but in subtitles
Indeed! 💪
Cool stuff Nemesis/Mwkan as usual 👍👍
Definition of "boss" much like dumb jinpachi or shao khan 😂
Devil may not have as many tricks up his sleeve as Kazuya in this game, but when his signature moves hit you, they hit HARD.
Lmao he has ghost range on that df1💀
Atomic Drop makes for a much cooler back throw for Devil than Kazuya's Reverse Neck Throw! Wish he still had access to it.
TTag best ever

kaz's twin pistons were 10 frames fast
Kazuya's 10 frame Twin Pistons is a myth I believe. They are 12 frames in Tag 1 I believe. Devil's Twin Pistons are 13 frames like Kazuya's are now.

Mishimas could do B112 for maximum dmg

thanks a lot for the support bro^^
but luckily his combo was trash, if only he had jin kinda combo
His twin pistons into magic 4 is already looking braindead, but that combo damage is no Jin's combo damage
You can tag WGF. Pick Bruce as second character. Super cheap.
I know that f4 is +11 on block, but isn't that pushback on block pretty severe? Can Devil actually use that for much?
literaly, just on paper plus or minus, push back is too big.
It's weird how it literally looks as if he's nude. Which i guess he is but still.
