We don't all "hear" music the same way. I can hear a song and feel like I'm in the music. My mother can hear the same song and may think that it just sounds good, but she's not moved by it.

I would not have discovered her, if not for Clark Beckham singing with Post modern Jukebox, another musical group here on RUclips. Clark Beckham was a contestant on American Idol years ago and did a duet with Abbey Smith, (singing here). Their duet was a cover of John Mayer's song called "Gravity". I discovered Abbey through that video and boy, am I glad I did! She is, like you said, phenomenal. She is sensational..omg.blew me away! I listened to this song over and over and over..Abbey totally transported me back to a relationship I had in my twenties. I was right back..Her pain, her sheer conviction.. especially when she sang, "no way, no way will she take you away from me", I was transported back in time, remembering my own sorrow. I'm over it now but wow..that performance was nothing short of amazing. Her vocals..her sweetness and her strength is what does it for me. This right here, is what EVERY performing artist should strive for! Singing from experience will always "win over" the audience over anything else.. because want to relate to the singer and that's exactly what's going on here.
