Of course we know groceries are priced insanely high but this is truly eye-opening 😱 I mean 4 years is not THAT long for things to increase price that much not to mention wages haven't caught up to this .
Salaries sure haven't kept up with inflation. The difference in egg prices depending on location is insane. The same eggs at the Aldi stores in my area are $3.62. I am in south central Pennsylvania.
I know everybody’s flipping out over these eggs and I feel it too. I go to the grocery store. A friend of mine family has an egg farm chicken farm. There’s nothing like going out there to an empty barn. They had to kill every single one of them and send them to I landed. They’re having to strip down Everything paint and clean paint, sanitize everything and start all over. Start a business from scratch like.
Thanks for this. I knew I wasn't going crazy thinking that many items at Aldi have doubled or sometimes more than doubled in the last few years. Not enough people are talking about this.
Man, I remember when my 14yo was a toddler and paying a flyer deal price of .49/doz eggs! Also used to stock my freezer with blueberries when they would run .99! Ah, well...red stickers to the rescue!
Thank you so.much for.doing this. I guess to be fair we would also need to know how much your household income has increased...but for.retired folks like me, we only got a very small $25/month increase!!
Awesome. Thanks foe sharing! You are my FAVORITE Aldi shopper! I am so happy now that I have one less than 2 miles from my house! Xoxo from Brunswick Georgia!!
Thank you so much for sharing this. It's amazing to see how prices have changed. Especially on which groceries and location. From a range of sources, it's said that it's only a 20%-30% overall increase, but based on what people are showing online, it looks like it's much more...📈 Eggs, beef, canned/prepared foods, sugar, and soda are apparently the major categories that have seen the greatest increases, by the way! With the bird flu, I don't see the eggs getting better, either. 😥
I happened to find an Aldi receipt dated Sept 2021 and 3 things stood out to me. Potato chips were .89 I usually see them for either 1.79 or 1.89 now. Deli sliced cheese (not individually wrapped) was 1.25 and now I usually see it for 1.79. Lastly frosted mini wheats were 1.07 and the last time I got them I think they were 2.09.
Great video. One note though, the spices are about the same price wise but they shrunk in size. I have been shopping Aldi since the mid 90's when they first opened here. Also last week when I shopped there, I wanted to buy a head of cauliflower and it was $4.55.. I passed on it.
I do think the size comparison would be interesting too. I know the cheeses are the same, but I will have to look back and see if I can tell in the video sizes of spices.
I remember that you would by white bread under a dollar and each week it kept going up a few cents. Even this year started at 1.35 and now it’s 1.39… it’s 😞 so sad. Thanks for sharing
I don’t see the point. Inflation has been an occurrence since the start of the industrial revolution. Shouldn’t be a shocker. 🙄 I could compare prices from my 20s in the 1970s to now. What difference does it make?
The point is to compare. I guess I don't understand the point of your comment. Yes, you could compare the 70s to 2025. What does that have to do with a comparison in a 4 year time span. As someone who grocery shops, I found it interesting to see how much more expensive groceries were from when I started doing the hauls. Does it make a difference? No, but that wasn't my intention.
Wow! I’ve been watching your Aldi hauls for years, have perceived the prices going up, but this video proves it! Very informative thanks!!
Of course we know groceries are priced insanely high but this is truly eye-opening 😱 I mean 4 years is not THAT long for things to increase price that much not to mention wages haven't caught up to this .
I was surprised to see just how much higher, too!
WOW!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
Salaries sure haven't kept up with inflation. The difference in egg prices depending on location is insane. The same eggs at the Aldi stores in my area are $3.62. I am in south central Pennsylvania.
In California they are $9.99 a dozen
@donnakhouri3859 Yikes!

I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Eggs at my Aldi were $3.49 a dozen on Friday!!!!
Now I would like to see a comparison of hourly rate of😅 pay for the same position and years at that position.
It'd be interesting, for sure!
Thanks for the video!
I am thinking shrinkflation as well, some of those packages are a few ounces lighter.
Thank you for sharing. I appreciate the comparison.
Thanks for this. I knew I wasn't going crazy thinking that many items at Aldi have doubled or sometimes more than doubled in the last few years. Not enough people are talking about this.
Jackie thank you for doing this. Very interesting knew everything was higher but thats a lot.
This was a great video! Thanks!

Yea, that's the thing... it doesn't matter the situation of the shopper... prices increased for all!
Awesome. Thanks foe sharing! You are my FAVORITE Aldi shopper! I am so happy now that I have one less than 2 miles from my house! Xoxo from Brunswick Georgia!!
oooh nice!!
Thank you for sharing Jackie grocery prices are outrageous. But at least we have Aldi ❤️
My local Trader Joe's has eggs for 3.49. Cheapest I've found, but I'm sure it won't last.

The fresh produce was the main constant it seemed!
This was a great idea Jackie.... great video ❤😊.......love your videos girl ❤.. Wow !
Was fun to see your first shopping video. Like the prices, your professionalism has increased -- but that's a good thing!😊
thank you!! :)
Would be interested to know how many items are also now smaller sizes.
Good video idea!

I'm curious how prices will be a year from now. Could you please do this again next year too? Thank you
Yes! I am keeping my sheet and plan to re-do

Have to say I shop at Aldi all the time, much cheaper than reg grocery stores, in my area prices of cheese, and meat increased over last 3yrs
I remember your white bread was $.85 cents
Your loaf of white bread has gone up about 30 cents in just the year I've been watching you.
I know I just commented about the eggs. This is another thing. What was your gross income back then what is your gross income today?
not sharing that! It doesn't matter the situation of the shopper... prices increased for all!
Thank you for sharing. Just hope it doesn’t continue to go up. Do this again in four years.
Me too!
Painful. 😂 Great video though. 😊
I❤Aldi
I was going to guess $20-25 more. It was closer to $30 more!
I used to love Aldi but after comparing prices sadly Walmart is now the cheapest
Btw everyone. Your egg prices are cheap. In California it’s $9.99 a dozen at Aldi
And yet our income has not increased since 2021
I don’t see the point. Inflation has been an occurrence since the start of the industrial revolution. Shouldn’t be a shocker. 🙄

This is a starking video. I like YOY comparison videos.
You should have compared the same item with the same size in 2021
She did, unless it was unavailable
The only ones I know for sure are the cheese, but I may try to go back and compare. I didn't note sizes in the previous video.
